The nursery - a work in prgress

The cot/bed has finally arrived!!!!

Which means we can finally start work on the nursery

The problem being, the cot is larger than we were expecting (being also a bed you'd think we'd have got that really) so we've changed the whole layout. It's so weird looking at that big cot and imagining our tiny LO in it. lol.

So far we've built the cot, I'm framed a piece of artwork (from a Terry Pratchett calender) and painted 3 little canvases with a teddy bear image.

We've still got the walls to paint and more furniture to buy. But at least we now agree on a wall colour - well we've compromised I've picked the feature wall colour and he picked the main wall colour (both shades of blue). And I've already bought a tester pot of one of them to paint my canvases.

It's not much yet, but was so excited that I can finally nest I wanted to share!

(oh and yes I know some of the toys in the basket aren't baby safe, will hvae to hide them until he's old enough)

Aww, i love looking at people's nursery's!! It make's it so real! Love the canvas pic's.

On the far wall we're going to paint it the colour of the canvases and to contrast we're having a really long white set of drawers with a floating shelf hight above it, and I'm going to get white letters to spell out his name... when we finally pick one.
