The pain :(

I had my baby on Tuesday, and apart from the odd stomach pains I feel fine. Apart from my bum...piles! Oh my god I'm in so so much pain. Got the doc to give me some cream (tired all over the counter and they didn't work) anyone else got this, any tips or know how long it takes to stop hurting

The piles were definitely the worst part, but it only took about a week for the pain to go away for me. I used witch hazel every time I peed, which was very often because I got a UTI right after giving birth from the catheter they inserted. So, if you had a catheter, definitely pee often and drink lots of water to avoid a UTI - mine was very painful, but I got rid of it after only 3 days of chugging water and cranberry juice.

I am afraid I am still suffering although no where near as much as I was in the beginning.

I am going to go back to the docs if they havent gone by the time LO is 6 months.

All I can suggest is a cold flannel down for down there after you have been to the toilet to numb the pain a bit. Prune juice and lactulose to help make it easier to go.

Pelvic floor exercises helps to shrink the piles. Um... that is all I can think of for now. Will come back if I can think of more.

Oh yeah don't push when you are on the toilet will make them worse.

Doc gave me some ointment yesterday which hasn't made any difference, today I think they are worse I want to cry just laying here. Back using the over the counter stuff as that's the only think that cools

Try and keep things soft if you can! I'm only in pain from what I presume is piles if I don;t drink enough/ take in enough fibre x hope it improves x
