Well it is safe to say I have had a busy few days with my pregnancy!!!!

It started yesterday morning when my OH and I were at work, we booked our first scan (a private one) for tomorrow morning!!!:happydance::happydance: Am very, very excited but also a little bit nervous, really looking forward to seeing our beautiful little baby for the first time but also scared incase it isn't good news!!

Anyway, the not so good part............ went to the doctors yesterday afternoon as had slight chest pains, she listened to my heart and said she thinks I have a heart mumur!! Went back today, had an ECG which was clear but doctor listened again and is now sending me to a Cardiac Specialist!! She has told me not to worry, which to be honest I am not as got enough to worry about with this tiny baby growing inside me, but still not nice to hear there may be something wrong with my heart!!!!

But, oh well, get to see my baby tomorrow and can't wait!!!!!!!:happydance:

Great news about the scan. Don't want to underestimate the possible serverity of a heart condition, but it may mean consultant led care, therefore extra scans and more chances to see bubs. Glass half full and all that. Good luck for tomorrow. X

Good luck on the U/S tomorrow and hopefully the pg is just messing with your system a bit. I know at times I feel like my heart is just beating out of my chest!!! blah!

Hi

I wish you all the best with the scan, do let us know how you get on! As for your heart, I hope all goes well with the specialist!

Nicola xx

Hi Ladies,

Well the rollercoaster just doesn't seem to want to come to a stop yet!!!!

I went for my private scan today and the good news is I have one beautiful (ok can't really tell that part yet!) little baby, with a perfect little heartbeat!!!!:happydance::happydance: The sonographer measured it and says I am actually 9w1d, which is one day more than I thought but 2 days more than the midwife thinks!
The not so good news is that my baby is sharing its gestational sac with, what the lady believes is a heamatoma!! she said she has never seen one of these before so I need to seek further advice from my midwife, well she only works 3 days a week so not sure when I am going to get hold of her. I did ring the maternity section at my hospital and spoke to a midwife there (at least I assume she was a midwife, she didn't actually say!!) and she has told me just to wait and see what happens and not to worry!!!! Easier said than done at the moment!!!
