I haven't had my appendix out but I had my son via emcs and truly I experienced very little pain after. I had some super pain killers immediately after but from 12 hrs after the op I just had paracetamol and ibuprofen and often didn't feel like I needed painkillers at all. I was even able to go out doing my Christmas shopping on day 5 (wasn't discharged till day 4)
And nothing they gave me hindered my ability to breastfeed at all.
As a pp said you wouldn't be ill which would make a massive difference. Plus, almost anything is more comfortable than being 9 months pregnant lol.
