thick egg-white CM @ 26 weeks

sorry for the tmi...

over the last few weeks i have noticed an increase in CM, and last week I noticed quite a large blob of the stuff in the toilet and it was slightly brown in colour. mentioned it to midwife and she just said keep an eye on it, and look out for thrush - i know what thrush is like and i havent got it (yet).

last few days I have noticed a lot more thick clear/white discharge, theres blobs of it and its stretchy.

is this normal for 26 weeks, i cant remember so far back to my first!!

I have had a lot of what can only be described as snot like CM for a good few weeks now! Its not nice at all! Xx

I had the same happen to me at about 28 weeks after lifting some cupboards with my OH (bad idea). I've been told that as long as its not bloody then not to worry so I'm holding to that idea.

It is your body making more mucus to help lubricate for delivery.

I have the exact same thing and I asked my doctor about it today at my check up. She said an increase in cm is super normal for being in the third tri, but that it could also be my mucus plug. If you're bleeding or anything I would go to the hospital, but besides that, it's pretty normal

I've had this on a few separate occasions most recently last week. Its sometimes white but other times mine has had a green tinge to it. No idea if its just mucous or part of the plug. Either way its never caused an issue so i wouldn't worry too much unless you are cramping or bleeding or have signs of an infection. Pregnancy causes strange things happening down there I've found.
