Thought I'd start a check list type thread to write down everything you need to or plan to have done before you start TTC. DH and I haven't yet decided if we will be TTC #3 or not yet, but if we do, we've agreed to wait until 2017 first, it's a long wait, so here are my goals to hopefully have completed in the meantime.

-have both of our other 2 children out of diapers
-have both our other 2 children in school
-organize and finish the basement and move DH's office down there
-buy furniture for the sun room and convert it into the kids playroom/breakfast area
-fix up the front and back yard
-strip and reseal the deck
-renovate the entire kitchen
-renovate the master bath suite
-DH finishes his degree for online collage
-I figure out what I want to go to collage for (something in the medical field)
-renovate the 2nd full bathroom and half bathroom
-replace carpet in living room with hardwood floorings
-replace sliding doors in living room with large front windows
-replace sliding doors in dining room and sun room with french doors
-buy new dining room set and hutch

I believe that's about it, the majority of it are large projects that center around fixing up our home.

I need to....
Get married
Sign for my house and renovate the whole thing.....

I need to have (nearly) completed my Masters degree.
OH needs to decide what sort of work he wants to do next.
One of us needs to have a job to go to after here (ideally one of us will stay at home with the kid for the first few years).
We need to know what country we are moving to in a year.
I can't be too pregnant/have a newborn when we are moving countries as I'll need to carry heavy bags and be traveling with our cat and I can't leave it all to my partner.

Mainly it's the moving thing holding us back as I'm already at the point where I'd have finished my masters before the baby came. We have a lot of savings so money isn't an issue but we'd both be a bit freaked out if neither of us had a job lined up after here and we were pregnant...

1 - save money
2 - new bathroom, bedrooms renovated.

1. OH needs to pass electrician exam (very nearly there!!) then he can earn more money
2. Continue saving to buy a house (60% there!)
3. Renovate the house

Get DD out of diapers.
Buy a bigger house.
Finish schooling.
Get married.
Get in shape.
Live healthier.

I don't plan on trying for atleast 2 years. Dd is only 4 months but I know there will be a number 2 and I definitely am an early planner. I think I started planning DD when I was a teen. I knew I wanted to conceive in September for a June baby and I always said id be 21 when she was born..which I turned 21 11 days afterward so I was close. This time I want a fall baby.

Love this thread... was speaking to bf and think he will be more ready for babies once we are 'organised' so......
Lounge ripped out and re done and bathroom ( almost there)
Planning through for new home
Build new home
Finish renovating the flat ( bedrooms!)
Become trained in something which means I can work for myself in the evenings ... either hair or nails possibly both!

......... I may be waiting a while!!!

Finish school.

Visit New York City.

Move out on my own.

Meet that special someone.

I'm still WTT for #1, so my lists look a bit different, but I have been working on a list of 100 things to do before TTC my first. Click the links to see what I came up with for more than a year before and 6-12 months before TTC. As I count down (only 10 months left now), I'll try to come up with 50 more things for 3-6 months and 0-3 months before. Can't wait!

I was going to start a very similar thread, so I'm glad to see this!

We are (hopefully) ttc in December and I've just gotten my cycles back while bf my daughter. So there isn't much time now! I've done a few things on the list but here's the rest:

1. Go to dentist
2. Start taking fermented cod liver oil/butter oil blend (ordered yesterday)
3. Keep trying foods to see what I'm intolerant to
4. Await test results for possible vitamin deficiencies and correct if needed
5. Write a will (should have done before my daughter was born)
6. Set up a college savings account for my daughter
7. Work on the budget
8. Exercise more

And before I actually have another baby my goal is to finish my childbirth education and doula certifications :)

For us our list is:

Save down payment for house (77% there!)
Buy house
Do whatever renovations are needed
Start ttc in June! (We don't want babies in December or the 2 months on either side)

My to do list:

1) Lose weight - another 3.5 stone to go, or as near as possible :)
2) Clear credit card
3) Build up our savings
4) Start doing work around the house

Those are the main things x

lose weight
find ways to manage my endo naturally
move outta my moms place
find the prefect donor
save some money
see a dentist, get wisdoms removed

Get money sorted after a bad year financially.
Lose at least another stone of baby weight.
Wait til ds is over 3.
Finish renovation in kitchen almost there and move onto bathroom.
Pay off debt.
Have something in savings.
New car.
Xx

well, we are having some of our windows replaced by the end of this month, along with a sliding door, so that's one thing off our list, and I've figured out what I would like to go to college for, so that's another check :flower: I won't be going back to college for at least a year when my first is in school part time and my 2nd is older, but it's a start none the less
