For instance, Maria naps in the pram and sometimes it can take aaaages rocking the pram to get her to sleep. I'll be rocking and rocking and everything is quiet for a few mins and I think "Finally! She's asleep and I can go have a cup of tea!" and just as I start to walk away she blows the biggest raspberry ever!!! I'm biting my tongue to keep from laughing yet at the same time inwardly screaming "argh just go to sleep you demon child!!!"

What do your babies do that you both love and hate at the same time?

Jacob knows exactly when tea/dinner is done & decides he wants feeding as well (regardless of the fact he was fed 10mins prior). He generally waits until I've opened the oven door & plated it all up before he DEMANDS a feed! I've learnt how to cook food that's easily reheated!

Also, like you, spending ages rocking to sleep only to get a laugh as you slowly creep away!

Hah Maria is the same with food. Before weaning we used to make dinner after she had gone to bed (still often do actually) and she would always ALWAYS wake up as soon as I opened the oven door argh

Too many to mention

She'll only drink her bottles laying flat on her back - including in public. When I laid her on a cafe floor the other day to feed her, we got some very disapproving looks. I should point out it was clean(ish) and carpeted, not some dodgy greasy spoon

Every time something goes near her face, she opens her mouth because she thinks it's food. She's so greedy that she picks up the tiniest things off the floor, she'd already swallowed a tiny piece of carpet fibre the other day before I could grab it off her

My lo does this! It's so cute & so annoying at the same time!

She has just learnt to drop things too. I met a friend for lunch last week and after picking up a particular toy numerous times I told Lo that that was enough dropping now thank-you very much. She smiled at me & cocked her head to one side, then (without taking her eyes off me) she pushed the toy backwards off the highchair tray! It made me & my friend laugh so much, little minx!!!

She has also discovered the lady's toy bag at singing group. She drags or rolls herself towards it & then helps herself

Her latest craze is flicking her tongue in and out like a lizard because her teeth have just come through, and then doing a big raspberry and spitting a puddle on the floor. Weirdo.

my son tom is a bit young yet to really do anything to drive me crazy, he's a little angel going down around tenish and not wakeing till 6ish......it'll drive me crazy when this goes tits up lol!!

Those are hilarious, ladies!
Mine's not that old, but he's recently found his thumb and won't let it go! It drives me crazy when he's nursing and I'll "let down", then he pops his thumb in his mouth. Meanwhile, I'm spraying milk everywhere! I have to pull his hand away and hold it so he can finish his feed.

Every time I read these I think of something else. Holly won't go to sleep unless I lay with her on my bed. While she's going to sleep she insists on putting her fist in my mouth and scraping my teeth. It feels frigging weird, but it helps her go to sleep!

If I'm rocking mine to sleep, king finley likes me(makes me) stand up... He's fast asleep so I go to sit down he screams his head off!! It's like a competition with him now to get in the best position sitting down without him noticing!! Feel like I've got one up on him after , how sad!!

Also after unsucessful attempts at getting him to sleep he'll go from screaming his head off to grinning when he knows he's won .. Whoever said babies can't manipulate at this age hasn't met my boy!!

Keeps grabbing my hair, he has a really strong grip and is literally pulling my hair out!
