My lo is 6 month and he can't even roll over. He doesn't even try. I try to help him but he's just not intrested. I have a lil girl and when she was 6 month she could roll over lean up on her hands while on belly sit up and was starting to crawl in a very slow fashion. Is it normal for him to be this slow or should I talk to hv about it? X

It couldn't hurt to talk to your HV about it, but it's probably not that he can't do it, just that he doesn't want to. Some babies can't be bothered until they make the decision on their own terms.

My LO didn't roll from back to front until he was 10 months old. He'd started cruising and taken his first steps before he decided it was worth the effort! Boys tend to be a bit lazier than girls and they all tend to get there in their own time. I wouldn't worry at this stage but if you'd like reassurance from a proffessional then you should talk to your HV, after all it's their job to answer these sorts of questions and allay your fears. I'm sure he's fine though.

Honestly, it's totally normal and nothing to worry about. My LO wasn't an early roller and I actually never rolled at all... I can roll now though :p

My lo is nearly 8 months and doesn't even try to roll. He can almost crawl though! I wouldn't worry!

my dd didnt start doing alot of things until she was 8/9 months, its normal to worry and theres no harm in talking with your hv but im sure your lo is fine and will learn everything all at the same time like my dd! lol

Sounds completely normal to me, my LO didn't roll until he was eight months, didn't even really try. One day he rolled one way, then the other, and two days later he was crawling.

My LO didn't roll till 7 months and then crawled and then cruised within the next couple of weeks. It just all came out of nowhere!

Thanks he has a heart murmer which is getting looked in to and I'm just worrying incase that is causing problems and holding him back. X

My LO didn't roll around til around 8 months, sometimes boys can be slower than girls at things...and all babies are different :)

Sounds normal to me. Joni is nearly 11 months and rolled twice at 8 months then never again until last week. She can't crawl yet. But I took he to pediatrician for something else, and she said she is developing fine and there is nothing to worry about. They will get there one of these days x

:haha: well done slugger, you got there in the end! :)

My girl didn't roll over or try until around 6 months. There wasn't any sign she was going to do it, she just did. She wouldn't even do tummy time either BUT she still crawled, sat herself up and pulled up to standing at 8 month's. Just because they don't show any interest it doesn't mean they'll be behind

Sophie isn't rolling or crawling either, all normal! My son was cruising by this age, so it's not something I am 'doing wrong' as she's having all the same attention. She's got other things she'd rather do :-D

Mine just started rolling and she's 8 months..I wouldnt be concerned at all xx
