Think twice about having flu (or any other) vaccines for you and/or your baby

So, I've seen loads of questions - who's having a flu shot this year and 98% of you are having it. All I would like to suggest is read a bit about the ineffectiveness and actual danger of flu vaccines and/or any other vaccines available to adults and children. Then make up your mind whether you truly need vaccines.
I'm 70% against them, 30% for.
particular flu vaccine that UK is offering now isn't going to buy me - I'm not having one done. For me it's a bit of propaganda going on. Well, you decide.

Researchers found that these following chemicals are found in the vaccines offered to us :

-- aluminum hydroxide and phosphate, known to be linked to some neurodegenerative diseases, including Alzheimer's disease; the Office of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) reports x-ray evidence of pulmonary fibrosis among workers studied; it also reports that patients undergoing long-term kidney dialysis develop speech disorders, dementia, or convulsions;

-- formaldehyde, a known carcinogen according to the National Cancer Institute; it's also linked to upper respiratory tract problems and effects on lymphatic and hematopoietic systems (relating to human blood cells);

-- gelatin, polysorbate 80 and resin - ingredients causing severe allergic reactions;

-- ammonium sulfate, a suspected gastrointestinal, liver, and respiratory toxicant and neurotoxicant;

-- sorbitol, a suspected gastrointestinal and liver toxicant;

-- phenoxyethanol (antifreeze), a suspected developmental and reproductive toxicant;

-- beta-propiolactone, a known carcinogen and suspected gastrointestinal, liver, respiratory, skin and sense organ toxicant;

-- gentamycin, an antibiotic;

-- triton X100, a strong detergent;

-- animal tissues and fluids, including potentially contaminated horse blood, rabbit brain, dog kidney, monkey kidney, chick embryo, chicken egg, duck egg, pig blood, and porcine (pig) protein/tissue;

-- calf and fetal bovine serum;

-- macerated cancer cells;

-- diploid cells from aborted fetal tissue

I already got the shot they make this one for pregnant women or those who may get pregnant :The Preservative-free flu shot has a very trace amount (< 1 microgram) of thimerosal, which falls below the FDA guidelines so that it can be called “preservative-free”. This shot can only be given to people over 18 years of age, but it’s the same price as the Standard Flu Shot ($25.00).
I am in the United States I don't know where else they are available.

I'll still be going for all vaccines offered to me and my baby once it is born. Call me stupid, but these vaccines have to go through rigorous testing to even become available. I'd rather take the vaccines and practically eradicate (or severely deminish) the risk of me or my child becoming ill. I have had all my vaccines so far in life, with no side effects so far.

I refuse the flu jab aswell hun .. Also seen a story in the paper few weeks ago (uk) that there have been further tests carried out and the flu jab is NOT suitable for children ..
As its causing some sort of sleeping disorder in a high % of children !!

I have my own opinion on immunisations which i will not go into but would just like to say that every child that's had the flu jab is human guiney pigs after reading that article and im so glad i did not give it to my children .. Its terrible that the health agencies only tell you the good bits and not the bad xxx

They do different kinds of vaccines but it's good that you actually know what you're getting. Still, not getting one done for myself. Will survive without it - just like many other women survived years and years before us.

Being pregnant you are more likely to die from the flu than have any ill effects from a flu jab. They may not be 100% effective but if there is any chance that it'll prevent flu (and more importantly swine flu) then it's worth doing.

If heard of too many cases of a pregnant woman or her baby dying as a result of swine flu to risk not taking it.

Fully agree with you. Vaccines make loads of money to certain people in this world and if we do fall ill after having a vaccine there are very limited medication for the illnesses - those that were created to fight the vaccine itself making even more money for pharmaceutical companies. Yes, we are Guinea pigs!

Swine flu isn't a case in the world anymore, according to health warnings. It's a 'last year' thing.

Its personal choice, the benefits must outweigh the risks else they wouldn't bother spending the money on giving it to people (we all know how tight our NHS is at times!!) but equally - the risks are still there.
I think only you can make a decision on this as it is your choice and your child but make sure its always an informed decision.
Nothing worse than making a choice in life and afterwards wondering if it was the right one!

That is all great accept what they don't want to tell you is this year's flu shot is based off of last year's strand of the flu. Every year there are different strands, often worse, or different from the last, making the shot ineffective if you do not catch the strand of the flu it treats.

Not getting the shot. I am allergic to it, and will probably never get it again for the rest of my life.

What do you parents who's children have to have the flu shot before they can go to school do? Where I am from (where I grew up) If you did not get the shot than you got set home from school.

Outbreaks like these can blame anti-vaxers, as you call them, but the underlying problem can be laying in the opposite direction. Nobody will actually know why it's happening, these outbursts of illnesses. Have you read anything about pharmaceutical companies and how they're milking the nations and societies around the world? I'm studying social sciences and i did a bit of research regarding this. It's more beneficial to the world wide tycoon companies than to us, those who died from small pox years ago and now we can cure it:} I'm not saying that medicine can't help, but hey, vaccines can be avoided and cure for illnesses can still be found. Why there isn't a vaccine against cancer yet then? Wondering!

Well im sorry to disagree but my best friend has 5 little girls all who have all immunisations to date and all 5 of them got quite a bad dose of measles ... Are the immunisations not sopposed to be so they dont get them ??

Also in all immunisations they are giving you a small dose of that illness etc how are you to know at all if your child will take that small dose they are injecting into him/her really bad, do u know all the ingrediants to these immunisations and their possible side effects etc??

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but I will NOT be made feel bad for my decisions in life and dont think its fair your having a go at someone coz their opinion different from yours !!

Tricky choice for you to make, there are healthy children who have had the vaccines and healthy children who havent, flip the coin there are poorly children both vaccinated and un-vaccinated.
I for example im not immume to rubella even though I had the MMR as a child, Ive refused another one, whats the point!
I always wondered too why animals have to have vaccine boosters each year and we dont... is it because we pay for our pets jabs and rely on the NHS for our own?! lol Could ponder for hours!

I think everyone needs to seach for ACTUAL research and not biased perceptions of research papers relating to immunisations.
Like everything in healthcare, there are people out there (not directed at anyone on here!) who scare monger and sensationalise information we read.

I personally have access to medical and peer-reviewed journals where authors of research have some credibility and I for one will have the flu jab this year, as will my children have their immunisations (standard ones not swine flu).

In the UK, I believe the misinterpreted and skewed information in the press relating to mmr and autism has increased cases of Measles. Unfortunately, some people are heavily influenced by media and as such dont always get to make an informed choice.

Oh my god. Pharmaceutical conspiracy theories? Vaccination against cancer? We don't know why outbreaks happen? Yes we do! Because some people refuse to immunize their children. Sorry, your views are nuts.

Being a student of social science and "a bit of research" on this doesn't make you a scientist. I am married to a biologist. All of his colleagues are biologists, some are microbiologists and immunologists. They ALL get vaccinated and are frustrated to death by this kind of conspiracy rubbish.

There is a real danger in non-scientists trying to do the work of scientists. They don't know a damn thing and scare the public into making bad decisions.
