I came across this on another baby site - and oh my god it is so right - sounds so much like me!

https://www.askamum.co.uk/Pregnancy/Search-Results/Health/Are-you-a-pregnant-cyberchondriac2/

so from now on i am no longer going to google any symtoms i may have! it defo does do more harm than good!!

I think we should all make an agreement NOT to Google anything else pregnancy related!!

Who is with me on this pact!!

Agreed! I was awful in the first tri. Spent every day on the web seeking out why my body was doing various things. My OH eventually said enough was enough as I was getting myself in a state. I've not googled a single thing since then regarding pregnancy. If I'm unsure about something I may look at other people's experience on here and weigh up various scenarios before deciding whether it is something worth worrying about and to be honest, I've not needed to book any emergency appointments in the second tri.
Google can be great but as I read in a great vid of late that was posted on this site, Google does not have kids.

I suffer/ed with health anxitey and google was my worst enemy it fed me the info in what i wanted to know and confirmed the worse. I started CBT (congnitve (sp?) behavior therapy) and that was top of the list to help me DR GOOGLE IS NOT YOUR FRIEND. Since i've been pregnant google hasnt been used in terms of checking for symptoms. Its made me worry less and anxitey levels are very low.

Stay away from google its not going to help you and it will tell you the worst possible thing that can happen. :)

Agreed :) I've gotten better as the days go by, but first tri is making my normal anxiety go overboard (even though I've had a successful pregnancy!). After having a m/c my mind is a mess.

So, NO MORE googling! I can do that! At times I think I even need to avoid this forum for the same reason!

Out of 5 kids, this is the first time I have been so worried. With my other 4, I didn't sit here on my computer googling everything or even reading a baby forum, but with this one, that's all I am doing and it's driving me crazy. I was so relaxed with my other 4, now I worry about every little pain, run to the bathroom more often to make sure there is no spotting, pushing my breasts to make sure they still hurt. It's nuts!!! I can't wait to get out of first trimester!!! :)
