We found out we're having a girl last week, and have shortlisted a couple of names, but just wondered if anyone had any thoughts on a middle name that works?

She was conceived on our honeymoon, so we've thought we might call her Honey. Her name would be Honey Hodgson.

Any ideas on a middle name? I've thought
Honey Rose Hodgson
Honey Roast Hodgson (joke!!)

But a bit stuck. And we were so sorted for boys names too!

Honey is very cute. I love Rose as a middle name too, my eldest daughters middle name is Rose (after my great grandmother). Do you not have a family member you would want to name her after??? xx

ive chose rose too after both our nans

thats a lovely name! rose is getting really popular now, i chose it before i knew i was having a girl and i had hardly heard it,now its quite common but its really cute x

rose is also the middle name i choose if its a girl. I have a girls one but no boys one.

Honey Rose is nice but if you've already thought 'Honey Roast' chances are when she gets to secondary school other kids will think of it too?

OOOh good point Mrs shine... I love honey!! thinking about it tho will kids think of honey roast... its kind of specialist roast and more grown up when i was a kid i'm sure i just thought chicken/beef/pork/lamb roast etc??? I doubt they'll make the connection.

xx

maybe a little like a type of peanut, though my brother was called robert john and noone ever called him rubber johnny so I don't think children and school are that creative. Other thought are perhaps a name associated by meaning (like deborah, which means bee, seeks the sweet in life- which is an awesome name because it's mine so don't be mean about it :p bees.. honey.. )

but dont ask me because I like finn for a boy, even though i'm thinking finn champion sounds like someone whose won a competition. So what do I know?

I love the name rose, it was going to be Pip's middle name if he had turned out to be a girl. The only thing is it is getting quite popular which isn't so bad for a middle name, I guess it depends if that's the kind of thing that bothers you? If you really like the name then I'd go for it regardless :hugs:

Honey Rose is lovely, right? I really like it, especially with your last name--a very nice flow. We chose our little one's middle name for the month she was conceived in (May...but we're spelling it Mae), so I like your approach :)

Honey Rose is cute. What about Honey Mae? Sounds a bit like she could be famous:

And the award for ____________ goes to Honey Mae Hodgson!!!

Ohh i like....makes her sound like a country and western singer... and i am partial to a bit of Dolly Parton! (though doubt my OH will be impressed. He's still shocked his heir isn't going to be playing football for England!)

 That did make me laugh!
I love Honey Mae! I liked Honey Rose until it was pointed out to much like Honey Roast!

I had decided on the name Holly if mine was a girl - but my last name is Dace -
'So where are you going on your Summer Holly-Dace!!!!!'
It would never work would it!
