Have you guys seen these bumpers? I hear the regular ones are a no no these days but I am wondering about these "wonder bumpers." That is the only brand I have found, not sure if others are making them too. Think these are safe or better to go without?

**now I know plenty of people use the regular bumper and so did my mom and I survived! So I am not trying to put anyone down that uses them :flower:

why are the normal bumpers a no no? Are they considered dangerous now?

I thought everyone used them...omg have I been ttc sooo long that rules have changed? :haha:

To be honest, they're so expensive that I will not be getting them. My SIL swears by them, but spending $100 on something that is a non-necessity just doesn't appeal. lol Then again, I'm on a tight budget and prefer to keep it simple.

zan, yeah, regular bumpers are considered a hazard now, like if a baby wanders to the edge of the crib and smashes its face into the fabric. I'm surprised the Johnny jumpers haven't been banned. lol Those always seemed more dangerous to me than bumpers.

I your concerned then they look better. However i think they are very un nessisary to begin with .by time baby is old enough to get there arms or legs out the holes they should be able to pull them back in. I've never seems a baby get hurt from modern crib bars

Yeah the American Academy of Pediatrics has now said that they pose a high suffocation risk. Doctors have said that they never treat infants with severe injuries due to hitting themselves on the bars but they do see a lot of injury and death from the bumpers. So much to think about with babies :dohh:
