I bought the Hazel Phillips - Choose the sex of your baby the natural way.

It came today, so i got stuck into it :coffee:
Anyway, she states that a lot of women miss judge when to class cd1 of there cycle. She says that as soon as you get even the slightest bit of spotting, that you should class that as cd1. She thinks this is where many women are going wrong, and end up miscalculating Ovulation!! There were examples from women ie - One lady had spotting for 3 days before AF became full flowing. But because she ignored the spotting she missed her O date by 3 days. Hazel explained it to her, so the second month she included her spotting days into the cycle and concieved!

Just wondering what your thoughts on this may be?? Hope it makes sence!!

Hmmmm I have always included any sight of AF as cycle day one. Very rarely does it start with spotting but when it does I always count that as CD 1. I did get pregnant my first cycle with DD, but have tried 3 cycles this time around and nothing yet. No doubt it could be a factor though!

Yeah it's definitely not the only factor.
I've never noticed spotting before full flow AF, but last month was only my first month TTC, so was only my first month taking notice of my body. I spotted last month, but everyone told me to class the next day as cycle day 1, as it was full flow. Also when i put spotting in to fertility friend, it didn't class it as cd1. I dont know what to do know lol i've gone and made myself more confused haha :)

Hi, I've been using the TCOYF program and it never counts spotting as CD 1. Last month I had a few days of spotting and my MD had me start my first round of Clomid. A full flow didn't start until my 3rd day on it. He said that it didn't really make too much of a difference and that I had to start sometime!?!?
This month I started using my Clear Blue Easy Fertility Monitor with OPK as back up and got a positive last week.
I would go with the first day of full flow.

this is very helpful as i never took into account the pre af spotting, but after 6 months i realised that the spotting should also be classed as af. but this then makes it cinfusing when it comes to implantation spotting.

but that is what patience is for and testing of course! lol
