Threatened Miscarriage

Sorry its so long but its the experience of the weekend please be honest do you think im miscarriaging or is there a chance i mite still have my baby???


My last period started the 8th Feb 2010 and i took a 2 pregnancy tests (Boots own brand twin pack) on the 16th March 2010 they both was positive. i booked a appointment to see the midwife for 23th.

i went to work on the the saturday 20th and i had light cramping not as painful as period pains and light bleeding which was red. had the bleeding for just over 48 hours, (still red) no blood clots i went home and chilled out in bed. i changed my pad every 4-5 hours and it wasnt soaked only a little blood on the pad.

monday aftanoon i went to the doctors and they got me a scan appointment for the 29th march.after the docs i noticed that i stopped bleeding and on the tuesday aftanoon i started bleeding again no cramps. light red blood no blood clots still only was spotting very lightly, i went to see the midwife and she said that because im not getting no cramps and only light bleeding the baby might be fine and to wait til monday for the scan.

i woke up this morning about 9am and noticed brown blood and i only would of noticed when i wiped as i had no blood on my pad that i put on the night before i put a fresh pad on but nothing has gone on the pad.(so its bin nearly 12 hours and nothing had gone on the pad).and still no blood clots or cramping.and now have stopped bleeding im going out my mind thinking have i lost the baby or not to scared to move. anyone going through the same???

What a scary situation It's good that you haven't had any clots, but only an ultrasound can tell you for sure if your baby is ok. I just wanted to wish you all the best with your ultrasound. I can't imagine having to wait that long for an answer. Take care sweetie, I'll be thinking of you

awwww hunny so sorry you are having to go through this awful experience.

Don't wanna be the one who puts a downer on things but your situation sounds very similar to my miscarriage in December, when the bleeding had finally stopped I knew the baby had passed and the scan I had a week after the bleeding started confirmed that the baby had died and passed.

Its an awful thing to have to go through and I really hope this isn't whats happening, remember a lot of women do have bleeding for unknown reasons and go onto to carry healthy babies to full term!

so sorry to hear that they are makin u wait so long, i had light bleeding last yr wen had mc but like they say bleedin doesnt always mean a ms , as my bled with me for 5mths when she found out she was preggy and my sister was the same and m and my niece are proof , ppl i kno hav had simular to u and baby has been fine just some women for strange reasons bleed as for me with my 1st daughter i didnt kno i was preggy til 5mths so it can happen , keep us posted and ur in my thoughts
