Ok, another odd question from me lol!

When we were pregnant at the start of the year I had a booking in appointment at 5 weeks with a midwife who came to our home, we filled out lots of paperwork and she gave us lots of information some of which mentioned foodstuffs. After the miscarriage in March I had to get rid of all the paperwork as it upset me.
Now being pregnant again the process has all changed, the booking was done on-line direct by my GP and I won't see anyone now until 14 weeks.
Can anyone who does have this information tell me what it says about eating tuna? I seem to remember some limitations but didn't want to google incase I didn't get a reliable answer.
It's the only food I really, really fancy lol!

Thank you so much and I hope everyone is doing well x

I think most guidlines say no more than 2 tins a week, but im not 100%!

i read somewhere a few weeks no more than 4 tins a week! xx

i think it's 4 tins pw - but not sure if those are the really small ones or not - you should be able to find out on line somewhere?

funnily enough I was fairly addicted to tuna and either had a tuna salad, or tuna sarnie everyday for lunch - and in the last couple of weeks even the thought of it, or ANY fish makes me feel sooo sick!

I've finally managed to find something on the Food Standards Agency and it say 4 cans per week, thank you!

How weird that we like something and go off it, our bodies are such complex machines! What do you have now instead? xx

Prawn mayo is quite nice as an alternative but the prawns must be cooked and the mayo not homemade.

I'm a fellow tuna-lover!

My midwife told me no more than 2 tins per week x

My midwife also totally contradicted the leaflets she gave me and told me 2 cans instead of 4, which is a shame because I'd eat tuna every day if I could !

I'm also a tuna addict at the moment and read somewhere 4 tins a week so until midwife tells me otherwise thats what i'm having xxx

It is 2 cans a week. I work at Subway and its the only filling i like atm. Its only 2 ice cream scoops in the free 6inch i get for my lunch and i only work 4 days a week i hope thats not going over the limit....i cant stand anything else!

i was trold just on thursday that ur not allowed to have more than 2 tins a week or 1 tuna steak x

My doctor told me that I can have 2 cans of the chunk light tuna a week, but I can have no more than 1 can of the chunk white albacore....

I always eat chunk light anyway...not a fan of the albacore...
