To Blue Dye or Not to Blue Dye

I am going to test tomorrow, 13 dpo but realized I have a dilemma. My husband bought the last round of tests and they are EPT blue dye. So, I have two of those and one digital. If I want anything different, I will have to order online and wait for it to arrive as I don't live near any convenience stores.

Do I trust the blue dye and use the digital as back-up? Use the digital and hope there is enough HCG?

What have your blue dye experiences been?

FYI - I do not trust FRER as I have had evap lines almost every time I have used them.

I've heard the blue line ones can give awful false positives. Personally, I wouldn't use them, or at least make sure to back it up with the digi. I think the only thing worse than a bfn is a false positive. Good luck!

I just posted my test with blue dye and it actually came out!!! No evaps (I was having a moment and didn't realize it!) I just posted it.

I would use them. Like you said, you've had evaps with FR. I think when we all get a BFN, or are not sure by the result, we test like the crazy women we are until we get a definite BFP or an unfortunate AF.

Thanks for the replies ladies! I did end up using one and got a neg, no false positive. I was testing a bit early so this actually made me feel like they are more reliable. I am now 3 days late, no sign of AF and pg symptoms rising. May try again tomorrow and see what happens.
