I feel like a cat on a hot tin roof! Its constantly going round and round in my head I just cant settle!! 20w scan is 7 weeks tomorrow.. we could have one in 4, but its £80 we don't really need to spend!!

What would you do??

I have mine today! So excited! Then I'll have another scan in 4 weeks time! :)

We're waiting as a gender scan isn't really affordable right now and we're trying to save all we have.
I've got a 6 week wait till mine and it's killing me:haha: but since we'll be able to find out at 20 week scan I can't really justify spending £80-£100 on getting one:cry:

If you can afford it I'd say go for it:winkwink:

I had mine two weeks ago, no way could i wait until the 20 week scan!!

Go for it!! x

I was tempted to have an early gender scan but we was worried about spending the money when it could go on something else so we didn't we just waited and said if we couldn't find out at the 20week scan then we would pay for another scan x

I say go for it if you have the money to spend! :)

Babybond offer a quick gender scan for £39 and have clinics across the country.

I'm going for one at 16+5 because I am far too impatient to wait another month. :haha:

I'm averse to having scans that aren't medically necessary so will find out at the 20 week appointment. I did the same last time. Its not really that much longer to wait!

If you can afford it do it...

Me and OH decided against it as it was £80 that could go on something for our Daughter or towards at day out or on the baby....

I am kicking myself though cos we couldnt find out at 20 week scan, but go back the 11th so hopefully we will then x

We did an early scan and I totally thought it was worth the money. If you want to do it, then go for it!

I am VERY impatient, when I was pregnant with my daughter I went for a gender scan at 16+2, I considered it this time but I couldn't get an appointment until 17+weeks so thought I may as well wait the extra 3 weeks, and it flew by! I also kept thinking I could spend that £50 on something for my daughter or new baby :)

I waited until the 20 weeks scan and I'm glad we did, we saved money haha x

I had a scan this week and found out. Have our proper gender scan next Friday to confirm too. It's not money wasted for us and I have a highs risk pregnancy so it's helping me enjoy some elements of the pregnancy!

Given in and booked one! 3 weeks tomorrow.....

We're just waiting for the 20 week scan, would prefer to spend money on a 3D scan at around 28 weeks instead :flower:

I was in the same position but deep down always knew I didn't want to know until birth. I'm so glad hubby and I have finally made that decision as our 20w scan is on April 24th. I'd say go with your gut instinct... I hate people telling me I can't possibly wait... like it's the only option these days to find out? I'll show them ;)
Good luck and just do what feels right! Regret is the last thing you want.
I like reading people's comments on this website... especially how some said the suspense made the labour more enjoyable.

I will be doing it. There is a place near me that does it for $79 as early as 12-13 weeks so I still have a bit of time to wait but I will be going. Waiting till my daughter was 5 months last time just about made me go crazy

If you have the money, I'd say go for it. How many times in your life are you pregnant/get the opportunity to do this stuff? I've got mine booked for 17 weeks :)
