how many cm's dilated were you?
how many weeks were you?
how long did it take from sweep to contractions starting?

thanks ladies:hugs:

I had a sweep at 39+4 weeks i was 1cm gone and the contractions started straight away. 3 days later though i had my baby by emergency c section with failure to progress xx

I was 1cm dilated I think, she could just get a fingertip in, but I wasn't at all effaced. I had it about 11am on 41+1, got pains around 5pm that I thought were BH, was in agony around midnight & in established labour at 3am (well, that's when the mw's came out). We had sex 3 times throughout the day to help thing along too ;)

I was 40 weeks exactly when I had mine, I was about 1cm. Had period type pain all that day then I "think" I was having very very mild contractions all weekend then had him 40 + 4.

After 1st massive contraction and then 1.5 hours later was in hospital and I was already 5cm's. Pretty sure the sweep worked, even if it was 4 days later

My midwife attempted a sweep at 40+6. I was less than 1cm dilated although my cervix was soft. I went into labour the next morning xx

40+3. 1cm dilated and 50% effaced. Had a fair bit of blood and contractions woke me up about 18 hours later, although I'd had what I thought was indigestion all day. Suppose it could have been contractions. Dilated quickly and relatively painlessly but baby's head got stuck and ended up with a ventouse delivery after six hours of pointless pushing. Next time I'm going to wait a bit longer before I have a sweep so that the baby's head settles into the right position first.

Sweep at 40+6, not at all dilated so she couldn't really do the sweep...but she said my cervix was very soft. I went into early labour that night.
