So i just started charting my bbt this month. I'm getting a little bit frustrated because i'm having a terrible time sleeping since i started bbt. For a while i was waking up at 4 am, and not really getting back to sleep by the time i had to get up again. So i used a bbt correcter and moved all my temps to 730. My chart looked was different since correcting my chart. So to this morning i woke up at 3 temped and i got 96.90, struggled for a bit but got back to sleep til 640 i think and re temped and it was 97.15. When i put in into a bbt correcter it says 97.63 which would make my chart look way better, do i keep adjusting or not? Sorry such a long post dr. says i'm not ovulating so this is really important so i can see that i am!

ok i imput all the numbers, the green is the original temps, and pink is the corrected temps, what you think?

Do you have any old charts to compare it to? I would say that it might be beneficial to do two charts (maybe on different websites) - one with the un-converted temps and one with the converted temps.

no, this is my first month temping....i did an overlay of my reg temps vs corrected temps, the green is reg, my pink is corrected

Yeah, I saw that, I was just wondering if you had any temps to compare to. I wish I could offer more advice.

no i really don't sorry......either way my temp did go up today, i guess i'll just have to see what it does tomorrow, i think i'll use the one with the normal temps.....

I would leave it how it originally was.. if 3 hours only is a .2 difference for you, it should be that far off. Usually BBT will increase a degree every hour or so, but some women are different. Try and temp at the same time from now on :flower:xx

it was way more than .2 off though at 640 it was 97.15, and when i put my 3 am temp in and corrected it to 640 it was 97.63 so that makes it .48 off, which made my chart look totally different......

so the corrected temp would put me above all my other temps, which would make me hopeful i ovulated

I meant your original temp, not difference from the bbt converter. If 3 hours only makes a .2 degree difference from 3-6am, I wouldn't use the converter. Some women's bbt doesn't increase .1 degree an hour or so, we're all different xx

ok, fixed it so its to the corrected bbt so how does my chart look?

It looked like you may have ovulated yesterday but you had a negative opk and are still getting fertile cm...

i know, and the opk is still neg today, you think i just have a short surge? last time i got a pos opk it was only once and it was gone by the next time i took it....

Could be. It's really hard to say as your temps were not taken at the same time. If there was only a .2 degree difference in 3 hours, I doubt it would be that high today. I'd keep on using OPKs just in case. Try really hard to temp at the same time every morning. Can you set an alarm? xx

i do have an alarm set, but i've been waking at crazy times. usually around 3-4 in the morning and have a hard time getting back to sleep, i try and temp both times i wake to see what the difference was and today it was a huge difference

no matter what my chart is all messed up already, should i still keep temping?

I vote yes. Mine is messed up this month but I'm still temping for 2 reasons: to get used to it and to see what to expect out of Fertility Friend.

true, i thinks its just going to get more messed up, i feel like i'm getting sick now :( i feel all stuffy and runny at the same time, oh well i guess we'll see what tomorrow brings....

Yes just keep temping. If you wake up and go back to sleep, it won't mess up your temps. Temp when you wake up just in case and make a note of it, but if you go back to sleep and wake up at your original time, your temp will be fine xx
