Today is the day... Induction. UPDATE page 2 & pic on pg5!

Wish me luck!

I was in hospital last night after I spent the day with a trickling sensation and they did an internal and said my waters are leaking but sent me home for things to happen but nothing.

I was due for an induction tomorrow anyway so it's not like I wasn't inspecting this but now I feel time restricted.

I shall keep this post updated (to keep my mind busy lol) xx

 

Thanks ladies! I was told to call at 7am to make sure there is a bed in the delivery suit (only another 53mins to go lol)
I am so nervous but I have known this day has been coming for months but it still doesn't seem real! I am rather emotional x

I called the delivery suite at 6:50am (im so impatient ) and was told to go in for 8am. It was a mad rush as it takes 30mins to get to the hospital from my house and we needed to pick up my mum on the way.
We got to the hospital at 8:10 and waited to be taken to our cannulaThe student midwife came at 8:30 and took me to our room and done all the obs. The main midwife checked my cervix and said I was an easy 4 nearly 5cm dilated and said she will break the bag of waters covering baby's head. She then also fitted a cannula to give antibiotics as my waters had been broke for more then 24 hours and the doc told her to start the hormone drip straight away. Before the midwife fitted the drip I was contracting hard and they were every 5mins, then 4 then 2 but she did as the doc ordered and put the drip up.
I had my first contraction at 9:30 and by 10am they were every min to 2mins. At 11:35am I said i needed to push and by 11:41 I had my 9lbs 1oz blue bundle in my arms.
I have a very small 1dt degree tear that doesn't require stitches and I have a graze but I have been to wee etc with out any stinging.
Baby spent from birth to 6pm with two small breaks on my breast feeding but has been asleep since 6pm and not woke yet for another.
I am in love and so is DH and DS and I couldn't have asked for a better labour. Good luck everyone!
