Anyone got a good recommendation? I've seen some that look lower than others and I want the lowest possible? Also when did you all move them to a toddler bed? My little boy will be two on July 16th and my new baby will be due June 26th, so ideally I'd like him to be in it by then so when it comes to it I could re use my sons cot. It seems a waste to buy another for the sake of a few months:hugs:

Hiya
We got a junior bed from mothercare as was in the sale! Its low to the ground but longer than a toddler bed- brought single sheets etc!
We moved Amy 2months before due date, about 21months. I wont say its been easy transition as she's also moved rooms but is getting easier!!
Good luck x

we had a little tikes one, they are expensive new (£200+ from what ive seen) but i managed to get one local of ebay, brought a new matress and it cost me £60 in total

its brill! LO went in it at 12 months and never had any problems :)

We haven't transitioned LO to toddler bed yet- but her crib converts to one. Figured it would be worth it and the crib was great price to begin with- $180. And it also converts to a headboard/footboard for a full bed. So LO will be able to use it for years to come.

You might consider getting something like that for older LO if you don't want to move him to toddler bed right away- but if he's ready, then go for it :)

We moved our lo to a bed at 19 months and he was absolutely fine.

We got this one from ikea:

Our lo felt secure because the "bars" on the 3 sides made him feel like he was still in his cot, and it comes with a low wooden removable bed guard. Xxx

Ahh I think this last one would work as its very much like the cot he has! I worry he will fall out still at the moment as he at times turns sideways still if unsettled!

We got the 'boris' bed from John Lewis for Ethan... It was brilliant value at £69 and he loves it. We moved him in on Saturday (just over two years old) and he's been great at night but sadly won't nap during the day in it so we've instantly gone from two hour nap to a v quick snooze on the sofa!!

We have the Sundvik from Ikea

At the moment I still lay with Jesse for his nap, until he's asleep then I put him in his cot. If I didn't he would take ages to go to sleep and it would be way past nap time, that way he goes to sleep within ten mins. I don't know if I'm being paranoid, but the other thing that bothers me is that in his sleep he quite often sits up then slams himself back down into another position. He's banged his head on the side of his cot before this way and I worry with the low sides that he will slam his face right on top of them. I can't win! Lol, no sides and I worry he will fall out and with sides that he will injur himself! Unless I can find one with soft sides!
