I recently got a new puppy and my daughter loves playing with him, I've even caught her lying in the dogs bed with him once or twice. :haha:
So I was just wondering if anyone else has pets and how do your LO's react to them. :)

we got a kitten a few weeks ago and my girls love him, particularly my LO, lucky for us he was one of my mums cats kittens and has inherited her good nature, my little girl carries him around lays on him, hugs him a bit too tightly sometimes but he just lets her get on with it! i was a bit dubious at first but very glad i got him now x

we have a 2 year old golden retriever we've had since beofre lyssa was born- she absolutely adores him!!

I have three boxers

Mylo loves them, plays with them all the time.. weather it be picking up their toys and having gentle tug of war with them or just general chase from the lounge to the kitchen and back.

I noticed he interacted with them from a very young age.. like 5 months he giggled at them.

as moost ppl know Boxers are quite hyper, and mine can be. I have two that are older (9 yrs) and dont get that interactive with Mylo.. but the youngest (2years) loves playing with Mylo. Shes gonna be Mylos best friend growing up guaranteed!

They can be quite boystrous when they get excited and have knocked him on his bum a few times.. but then again.. hes used to it and it toughens him up.
He especially loves to watch them eating their dinner for some reason!! I am lucky my dogs are not aggressive in any way!

We have a cat - she is almost 13 years old and I've had her since she was a six-week-old kitten. Adam adores her, he goes up and rests his head on her back, and he finds most things she does absolutely hilarious. When he started crawling, and then cruising and walking, things were a little dicey at times because he was drawn to her like a magnet but didn't understand to be gentle, and he'd yank hard at her fur. She has scratched him a couple of times to tell him off, but he's never cried. He's still not really gentle, but I don't think she minds too much, and if she does she just walks/runs away. I think she loves him, too.

Emma is the same with her new puppy. She is often found relaxing on the floor with her head resting on him while they lay together. :cloud9: She just loves her dog. They are always getting into some sort of mischief together. Sneaking upstairs together and playing with toys. Emma always 'shares' her stuffed animals with him, which also happen to be his favorite things to chew on. :dohh: It wasn't a surprise when one of her first words was 'doggie'.

We have 4 cats, and Roo loves them :) In fact, one of her first signs was "cat"

They, on the whole, tend to be very wary of her. Two of them are naturally quite shy anyway (even around me and DH) but the other two are quite gregarious creatures! Very demanding if they want a fuss! Roo is now at the stage where she is more than happy to offer a cuddle, but for some reason the cats aren't that happy with the idea

We have a cat and Jacob loves him, though he's at the stage where he soesn't understand to be gentle with him, poor Fudge gets pulled along by the tail, Jacob flops on him, pulls his fur, throws toys at him, giggles and screams like crazy when he sees him, but Fudge doesn't seem to mind as he never runs off and keeps coming back and cuddling up beside Jacob - best friends.

we have a 1year old well will be in dec doggie and samsam loves him they are best friends do everything together :cloud9:
max is great with samsam and is always with him he even lays outside samsam's bedroom door to make sure he is ok

now they are cuddled up watching tv :cloud9:

my doggie is 3 ive had her since she was a pup and brooke & moo get on great brooke is so tolerant of moo climbing and sitting on her and when we go to the park so brooke can run they chase each other x

We have 4 cats, all but one of them steer well clear of her but one will tolerate her giving a pat etc.
Yesterday we took her to see the inlaws new puppy who is 7 weeks old and she was so scared of it. I think she didn't know what to make of it, hopefully she'll warm up to it soon.

i have a cat and my 3yr old loves playing with him. well i say playing he mainly just picks him up from one place and puts him where he wants him to be lol they also like playing 'chase the dressing gown belt' lol luckily hes a very placid cat considering the cats only 6 months old but if he does pick him up wrong or annoys him he just has a little hiss to say leave me alone and then their best of friends again. funny thing is tho he loves playing with him during the day but if he goes in his room when hes in bed he gets very annoyed!
