At what age did your baby/toddler start sleeping through the night?
He started about 6 weeks, then stopped around 4.5 months. I don't remember when he last slept through in his own cot. He will sleep fine if we co-sleep the whole night, but we put him in the cot to start and he sleeps anything from half an hour to 4 hours, then he wakes and wants to come in with us. (He does not have his own bedroom, cot is next to our bed.) Once in with us he goes straight back to sleep, and it doesn't bother us at all, so no plans to force a change.
What time do they go to bed & get up in the morning?
Gets up about 7.30am, goes to bed between 8.30pm and 9.30pm.
Do they ever wake for milk?
No, not since about 12 weeks, he'd wake around 5am and I'd take him into bed and bf, and we'd both sleep some more after.
How do they fall to sleep at night?
He goes in his cot with his dummy and usually goes straight to sleep. Sometimes he won't settle and he'll get cuddles and a song till he's sleepy, then into the cot awake and he'll drift off.
Do they nap through the day?
Yes he does, a lot at the moment, 3+ hours in the morning (today it was 10am-1.20pm) and then in the late afternoon, for up to 2 hours again. I would drop the afternoon nap if I could and have dinner and bedtime earlier, but my husband doesn't get home till after 6pm and he wants to spend some time with him.
