Hey

My waterS broke this morn at 4am and had contractions straight away. Ended up in birth centre at 7 as the contractions were every 5 minutes lasting for around 30-50 minutes. Around 2 I had a sleep and the contractions slowed down to one every half hour still really painful tho! I left hospital and went to mil and slept there as I'd not slept for two days and then went back. Because the contractions have slowed but my waters have gone, iv now got to be induced in the morning at 8 that's if they don't start again! I'm now going to the normal delivery bit as the birth centre don't do it I'm so tired and dis heartened that all that pain lead to nothing but at the same time excited that my boy will be here tommorrow!!!!!

Has anyone ever asked for an epidural before being induced and got one?? Xx

This is very exciting!

I think the epidural would depend on how far dilated you are at the time they start the induction, and which induction methods are used. And hey - the pain has prepped you, so think of it more as getting your body ready to be induced!

Ahh good luck chick... They will only do an epidural at a certain stage of labour, you have to be in active labour at least which is 4cm+ and having regular consitent contractions. Fingers crossed you may already be 3-4cm if your waters have gone so one they kick start you might not have long to wait. Cant wait to read your birth story xx

Thanks both of you hopefully all that pain was me dilating!! They didn't check I'm having contractions every 5-10 minutes again ! I reckon il be bk in tonight!!! X
