Hi All
Well we went yesterday. was not sure what would be done because she is not BF.. Dr said he would look and if it was tight he would snip it. my mum came and held her as i wouldn't. and he released it, she did cry and their was blood but this was expected... my poor baby had a bottle and wagged her new tongue for us all to see, the movement now is so much better as is feeding her.
She was a bit grumpy last night but today she is happy and smiling again. Thanks for all the advice and support x
Hi, Yes it looked just like that, at first i thought that was normalbut now it has been released i can see how bad it was, its horrid asking some Dr to hurt your baba but it was best for her as it was driving her mad.... just do what u feel is right for your baby boy.... how is he feeding??

I think so hun, she seems fine now it looks a bit saw tho.... i asked him afterwards about speech and he said it was probable that she would ov had speech issues!
I thought he would look and then say "it looks fine, don't Worry"
I had got ready to try and persuade them to snip it but i didn't need 2.
Saying that i have read some specialist are not as willing. They would look and say if LO is gaining and happy just to keep a eye on speech development, if it them became a prob a GA and a Opp would be necessary![]()
\swings and roundabouts!!
do you mind me asking what they did, did they clamp the tongue to pull it out? and were there 2 snips or one, what did they do the long stringy bit was it left hanging if there was only one snip?

I haven't had chance to read all the replies so sorry if this is irrelevent or repetitive, but my LO was tongue tied and FF. We used Dr Browns bottles from the start and never had a problem with feeding.
I did try feeding her from a disposable bottle on one occasion and had problems because it had a shorter teat.
I don't know if the Dr Browns ones are much longer than the ones you've been using, but it maybe worth having a look?
