Too early to be arranging baptism for little one?

Hi
I know that everyone will have different religious views on here and to be honest I'm not very religious. But I do want LO to be baptized within a couple of months of being born. Am I wrong to want to pencil in a date now and arrange a location for the celebration afterwards? I just don't want to jinx anything.

Anyone else arranged anything already? Xx

I personally can't see a problem with it. It means that you have it set and don't have to worry do much when LO is here. I would say as long as it isn't booked for like a week after your due date then there wouldn't be an issue, and I'm sure when you phone about it they will understand and it could be changed if it really needed to be. X x

I got baptised on the 28th march 1987 so I have decided to baptise my LO on the same day in 2012 we are only having a small do with close family and friends, I will speak to the minister as soon as the baby is here its never too early x

I am planning the baptism already but it won't take place until September when my big brother comes back from Australia for a few weeks. Need to plan well in advance as only have a 2 week gap to have the ceremony before he jets back off again and really want him to be here for at least one significant occasion in the first few years xx

My parents and brother are coming over in June to meet baby and we are hoping to have baptism/christening then -- baby will be three months! (and enough time for me to lose a little weight, too!)

We have ours organized - well kinda already for March 18, baby is due Feb 14th, but my family is flying in for it from Ireland to Houston so had to plan well in advance for people to get tickets. There is no reason you couldnt have it set up - esp since you have time and some energy on your hands!! Give you something to focus on till baby comes!
