Too Scared to Test?

Hey Ladies,
Just wondering if anyone else is feeling like this? My AF was due on Saturday 4th Sept. So far she hasn't turned up but I took a cheapie HPT on Sat and it was BFN so now I'm just too scared to test because I know it'll be another BFN. I can't bear the disappointment!
I keep thinking, "ok, if AF isn't here tomorrow, then I'll test" but when the day comes and goes I chicken out and don't test!
I'm going crazy! 4 days late! My normal cycle is 28 days and for the last few months AF has even come at pretty much the same time! 1pm!
I just keeping thinking, if I was pg the test on Sat would have been BFP but it wasn't and I don't want to get my hopes up - it's taking all my willpower!
Plus, I keep getting cramp, it only lasts about 30 mins at a time, but I'm sure AF is gonna turn up any minute!
I hate the tricks our bodies play on us, if only a late period just meant BFP! That would be great!

Anyway, I'd love to hear if anyone else is feeling this way.

i did this last year and turned out i was pg with DD!!! i was TTc after a miscarriage and with 1st pg i had sore boobs leading upto my missed period but didnt get it 2nd time so refused to believe i was late cause i was pregnant and like you would tell myself id test the next day but then would chicken out cause i didnt want to see a BFN! so after i was like 6 days late i gave in and got my BFP!! so just because you got a BFN on sat doesnt mean you wont get your BFP, some ladies do get them a bit later. did you definatly ovulate when you think you did or is it possible it was later than usual? fingers crossed for you. xxxxx

Thanks so much for your reply. It was really reassuring to know I'm not the only one
Well, I'm not tracking my ovulation so it is completely possible that I ovulated later. I just think if I start tracking it I'm going to become obsessed! In my previous pg, I got a BFP on the day my period was due. But a scan showed I was actually 4 weeks further along than I thought! So I'd gotten a BFN and AF the month before when actually I was pg! Confusing huh?! But judging by that, I Ovulated on the 15th day of my cycle.
I think I'll give it one more day and test tomorrow. Part of me really wants to hold out til Saturday when, if she still hasn't turned up, I'll be a whole week late. But, I'll be amazed and impressed if I can hold out that long!
But, if I get a BFN again then I'm really worried about what's going on with my body and next month is going to completely skewed!
Argh!
