My DD is getting bored of her toys so dh has suggested we look for a few more :happydance:
But I don't want to spend money on stuff that's not going to last/interest her

She likes puzzle type toys, she loves her tin with a hole in that's she posts dolly pegs through, her stacking rings and her stacking cup/ball things.

She has a my pal violet who she kinda likes but is a little young for, ditto her aqua doodle (she just sucks the water out the pen)
She loves her books but they don't distract her for long. Same for her xylophone.

Her bead rail just angers her :haha:

We prefer wooden or open end toys - plastic singy flasy stuff doesn't impress her hahahaha

Suggestion that your 14 month olds like?

*edited to add she also has a rocking pony she likes and her trolly**

Earl was 14 months last christmas and we got him a chalkboard and chalk which was much more impressive to him than his aquadoodle that he had for his birthday lol.

He also got a tractor for his birthday and this sparked a fascination for vehicles.

Happy land stuff is fantastic (early learning centre)

Musical instruments - Earl had a keyboard, maracas, tambourine and drums lol

Blocks of any description - wooden ones, megablocks, sticklebricks!

When Callum had just turned one the things that interested him were -

Baby laptop - https://www.google.co.uk/products/c...i=XjYTT4ixJ4_tOYPhqIQK&sqi=2&ved=0CG8Q8wIwAQ#

Push along toys - https://www.google.co.uk/products/c...X&ei=hzYTT5CGF8HAhAeG7e22Ag&ved=0CJIBEPMCMAY#

Musical tree - https://www.toysrus.co.uk/Babies-R-...ed-_-Google Base-_-N/A-_-VTech Discovery Tree

Megablox table - https://www.google.co.uk/products/c...=X&ei=GDcTT-HSF822hAfunIWMAg&ved=0CHMQ8wIwAQ#

His ride on - https://www.4littletots.co.uk/fisher-price-time-to-learn-baby-toddler-ride-on-toy_470.htm

Other things were things like shape sorters (although its took til a few months ago for him to realise where they go), jigsaw puzzles (again he struggles with some but he does enjoy looking at the pictures and especially likes the ones that play noises when the piece goes in), his wooden activity cube etc. Hope that helps xx

Omar was into books at that age. He was so laid back. How about building blocks, like mega blocks or some wooden ones. If she's walking she might like a toy buggy (a small not so expensive one at this age, as it would end up bumped into wall & furniture a lot) with a baby toy. Some flash cards with numbers & letters. activity cube or triangle. Something like this one. We also have a larger wooden one (ikea have them)

A shape sorter. Omar has a wooden shape sorter box & he also have the v-tech shape shorter car.

Some bath toys like bath crayons (Omar was using those at 15 months). A toy like this one

You can also give her some cooking pans & wooden spoons to play with.

My little boy is 17 months. He has got soo many toys but out of them all he loves his wooden activity cube which he got for christmas from toys r us and also his megablocks, pushalong car, stacking cups and vtech laptop. He much prefers things around the house to play with tbh he loves gadgetty things (mobile phones, tv remotes, car keys etc). He is also happy to sit for ages and play with empty pans and wooden spoons he enjoys banging them (when i am in the kitchen cooking he does that). He likes tactile things and when he was about 6 months i made him a treasure type basket and put lots of different heuristic things in such as a a wooden nail brush, soft baby hair brush, handheld mirror, wooden rings, pieces of coloured fabric , bells etc and he LOVES it he will sit and play with that for ages. He also likes little notebooks (he carries them around with him all day lol ) xx

Cheers, I'll look into some of those :flower:
