Hiya,

Just curious. At what age did you all transfer you bubbas from a cot to a bed?
We have a small car bed for Thomas to go in that already has built in sides and is practically floor level. He is now nearly 15 months old.

I 'think' my daughters were around 2 and 1. (when Izzie was two she went into a bed and we did Ella one at the same time). I cant really remember a specific age though.

Hes not tried to climb out the cot yet but i know it wont be long. And thats what scares me. There's nothing in his room that could harm him so if he were to climb out of his bed it wouldnt be a problem. Just the falling out his cot that worries me

Sophie went in hers at 18 months :).

Ryan is still in his cot and he's 21 months old. He's not showing any signs of trying to climb out yet, but taking the sides away from his cotbed is very much on my mind. I know he'll be out the bed all the time though, he's a rubbish sleeper and is up couple times a night resulting in him winding up in our bed.

H went in at 15 months....he didnt have an issue with it atall.... only thing is, now he can 1. get out of bed and 2. talk quite well, we have an early riser who calls 'mummy' or 'daddy' in the cutest voice ever at 5am from his bedroom door!

3 weeks ago (so almost 2) and so far its been a nightmare

X

My Lo is still in a cot and she is 2 and a half, she is happy in her cot so I am sticking with it asshe is happy, might think about making the move at age 3, the longer she is contained in her cot the better IMO

just moved my girl to the bed this week at 23 months. she was not happy the first time, but the second time and on was great

We haven't moved my LO yet (he's almost 20 months) I just can't imagine how awful it's going to be trying to teach him to stay in his bed!

We're planning on moving him in another 6 - 8 months unless he starts regularly climbing out of his crib (he hasn't yet, but he still sleeps in a sleeping bag so he can't get his legs over the railing).

I can't wait to move LO into a bed but will be a while yet I think as he moves about so much and think he might fall out of a bed. I can't wait because I want to kiss him goodnight and can't as I am short and he is so low down in his cot

We moved Harry into a Thomas the Tank bed 2 weeks ago (he will be 2 in a week and half) and it's been brilliant! He doesn't even get out when he wakes, just waits for us to come in. If you put him down for his nap and he isn't tired, he'll get out, read a book, but then climbs back in and goes off to sleep.
