Transitional period? Ferning microscope pic

I just got a ferning microscope yesterday so this morning was the first time using it, and I got the attached photo (sorry for the quality of the pic!). I'm only CD 9 of a 28-30 day cycle so I wasn't expecting to get anything really. So am I in the transition phase?
