Whenever I am feeding I get the feeling of trapped wind the shoulder of whichever side I am feeding from !! This isn't every time I feed but about 90% of the time. The pain is bearable but really annoying and can make feeding uncomfortable. (I have no intentions of ever giving up for this reason but would like a way to manage it at least!)

Does anybody else get this? I did have a csection and my lo is now 11 weeks old.

Hiya,

I really don't know for sure and don't have any personal experience of this in the shoulders but I wonder if it is caused by milk production or 'let down' (I sometimes get chest pains when breast are re-filling). I know some women experience painful 'let down', although I'm not sure if they experience it in their shoulders or not??

Be interested to hear other people's experiences. Glad it's not too painful though.

I used to get a pain in my back/shoulder sort of where my shoulder blade is. It stopped after about 12 weeks i think but i can't be certain x

Are your nipples sore when baby latches?

This sounds similar to what I had (i also had extreame pain when latching) and it turned out to be a severe thrush infection which had gone right back into my milk ducts. Was SO sore. The midwife sorted me out with antibiotics and after a few weeks things were fine again.

Nope no sore nipples....

BUT I do quite often get water infections so have booked a doctors appt for money to try and rule that out.

Thanks for your replies Ladies. x
