We kind of need to get Adam some sort of safe play area now he is on the move, just for when I need to answer the door, etc. OH is keen on the Lindam room divider/play pen but I am not, since our room is small and I think I will hate having a big play pen up permanently. I also need somewhere safe for him to nap out of his cot now he is getting too big for the Moses basket.

So I was wondering about a travel cot. He has slept in them in hotels and seemed like them very much. I see they are advertised as playpens as well but how sturdy are they? Adam isn't standing alone yet but I don't think it'll be long, and he loves to jump up and down. With them being raised and not directly on the floor, are they strong enough to withstand a big bouncing baby?!

:flower:

My best friend used hers as a play pen so I assume its ok?

which ones have you got just out of interest? we're not at that stage yet but thinking of buying one soon, mainly to use as replacement for moses basket downstairs as I don't like leaving him to nap in his cot during the day.

Cheap argos travel cot i have this one in pink, and its great to pop her in while i need to do something x

i plan to use mine so i hope it's ok! i have a graco one .. it has a canopy, light, plays tunes etc lol little bargain, bought it 2nd hand for £10! it seems sturdy enough x

We have the hauck baby centre and this has a zipped tunnel type entrance so toddler can get in and out themselves and you just zip them in when you want them to stay put.

Looks solid enough babys been sleeping in the bassenet bit on top ok :)

We have one but not sure what make it is. Its very sturdy and Sam loves playing in it.

We've switched from having the moses basket downstairs to having a travel cot as a playpen and daytime nap bed, and Andrew loves it. It's a Graco (second hand) and certainly seems sturdy enough.

I really must stop referring to it as a "cage" though

I still use mine for Finn, and he's as active as you can get really. it was the cheapest from asda, and I just have it in the bathroom to stop him touching the bog with i shower. I have the babydan one too and it is very good but it is big. I took it down downstairs because I just leave him in the living room these days and it took up most of the dining room, though I intend touse it in the garden in the summer.
