Can anyone recommend any top notch insurance companies who cover full term(or even just upto 34 weeks). Just want the reassurance that as much as possible is covered in every eventuality! Not fussed if premium is higher than normal, as it probably will be.
I've spent ages trawling websites and some cover this but not that and vice versa. Any one any experience in this?
Thanks in advance

My bank covered us with our bank account, rang o say I was 33weeks and didn't make a difference to my cover as long as it wasn't twins. Worth looking at :)

Not insurance related but have you spoke to the airline...... Just my friend was due to go to eygpt 31-33 weeks (last week) and had a drs letter but the airline (at Newcastle airport i noticed your location) refused her travel x

It's a thomson flight and they say their policy is up to 36 wks for an uncomplicated single pregnancy flying within the EU. In saying that I will still be sh***ing myself that they will do that!!

I travelled to Italy last week at 31 weeks and was fine. My airline flys up to 36 weeks and nobody key for anything from me. Although I did take a copy of my mat b1 in case they challenged my due date.

Like a previous poster I have insurance through my bank account - Lloyds and they just made a note and said it was fine.

Spoke to her earlier was with Thomas cook and because her flight was due to land early hours on the first day of her 34th week :/ apparently the only take to 34 she had thought shed be fine and is now trying to sort some sort of refund you'd think they'd all be the same no wonder people get mixed up ill not mention she would have been fine with Thomson!! Enjoy your trip :)

Katnkayla- Aah no! I would be gutted! Hope she can get some money back!

This ^^

Pregnancy is not a medical condition that you need specific policy for you just need regular travel insurance.

I flew to Tenerife end of 2nd tri and took out a Virgin Policy.

I am aware that pregnancy is not a medical condition but if you read the small print on some policies there are certain clauses that might not be covered due to pregnancy related issues. Things like cancellation/curtailment, cost of accommodation and later flights if I was to go into labour and have to stay longer etc. Some are good for one thing and not for others. Just want the whole trip to be as worry free and have peace of mind that were covered in every eventuality!
