I have tried everything I can think of. I've offered the bottle before and after feeds, in different positions, from different bottles, cups and teats, at different temperatures, from different people. She just spits it out and pulls a face. I tried going cold turkey, she just waited seven hours for me to feed her. This is expressed milk we're talking about, with formula she screams at the taste. Even though she used to take a bottle, she suddenly stopped at twelve weeks and has never taken one since.

I wouldn't care but I am going on several courses soon for re-training for work and I know she will just wait for me to come home after eight hours for eating. I know she will eat banana mashed with milk, would it be so bad if she had two meals of this or similar while I'm away? At least she'll be having something even though I know she is supposed to be having all her milk feeds at this age.

i would make up some bottles just incase and if she wont take them then try the bananna and milk.
not sure if this will help-
i found that when lo was breast feeding she didnt like new teats they seemed a bit hard so i would steralise them a few times (cold water steraliser) then they tend to soften. i use the tommee tippee bottles as they are more breast shaped.
good luck xx

Will she take a dummy? I found that if I gave my ds a dummy to suck on for about half a minute he started to enjoy the sucking, then I switched over to a bottle (quite a slow flowing one to start so that it didn't shock him) and he'd carry on drinking just because he wanted to keep sucking. He didn't use the dummy for anything else and once he'd gotten used to bottles I stopped using the dummy but it did the trick for us.

Did you try the breastflow bottle? We tried every one on the market and it is the only one Nathan would take.

I have to do the dummy trick to get Lola to drink aswell.I put her dummy in,she sucks about four times and then I quickly switch over and she drinks an ounce and then we start all over again.fun lol I never thought the hardest part of having a baby would b giving them milk but Lola had silent reflux from birth so it's always been a struggle.hope u find a solution Hun xx
