Trip to the Caribbean at 7 weeks

Hey ladies! Thinking of taking a trip to the Caribbean in a few weeks, has anyone done this successfully? Any suggestions? Concerns? I'm aware I'd have to be extra careful about what I eat, but I always do that anyways down there so that would be easy.

Whereabouts in the Caribbean are you going? I haven't traveled there whilst pregnant but I did go to the Dominican Republic 3 years ago and my doctor advised to stop TTC beforehand and for several months after returning, due to the malaria meds that I had to take. Obviously, that's dependent on where you're going and what vaccines and meds are required x

I have heard that about DR, so I think we are planning on Cuba this time. We've been a few times and know what to expect, so it feels like the safer option.

If you've been before, I'd say go for it!

I loved the DR and would love to go back, but I did end up with a poorly tummy and got eaten alive by mosquito's
