Hi All
I have recently just joined this site. I was surfing through the Internet and came across here.

I have been married for a year and a half and we have been trying for a baby. My husband has no children, but I have a son of 18 from a previous relationship.
I recently underwent a myectomy (fibroids op) and found out through my pre-meds that my hormone levels were a bit low. I was a bit disappointed to find this out as I had the coil in prior to this so as to not get pregnant.
My GP and Gynaecologist consultant has said it may be difficult for me to conceive because of my age and I wouldn't get any help from the NHS because I am 40+

I had fallen pregnant a few years back, but had miscarried, do you think that may have something to do with now or is it just my age? ( i know a lot of people over 40, who have had no trouble in conceiving and I don't see myself as old..):happydance:

My husband say's he is fine with the situation, but I desperately want to give him a child of his own, and I know that he would extremely happy if it were to happen....

Is there anything that I can get or do to boost my hormone levels.

Hi there and welcome to BnB...Good luck on your TTC journey.

My friend is 45 and gave birth to a gorge baby girl in May after having 2 MC, so keep on trying and one day you have a bundle of joy in your arms. x

Thank you Welshwarriors, your message has given me a tremondous boost. Like you I have friends of 40+ who have successfully had little bundles of joy.
Thank you also for welcoming me. x

I would just liek to say do you get disheartened my uncle and auntie didnt start their family till they where 43! i took a little while but the have two healthy happy boys one 7yrs and the other is 3yrs.
be healthy, take vitamins and stay positive
FX for you xx

I don't really get disheartened as such, but every month I see my menstrual cycle I feel a little bit low, but my husband helps me bounce back. 2 months ago I was a week late, and started to get a bit excited, I took a pregnancy test, but it was negative.
I've just turned 45, I feel I am still healthy and in good shape. I have been taking folic acid daily and have recently been looking at IVF.
Thank you for responding and I will stay positive. x

:-K
can anyone shed any light on the e-book called Pregnancy Miracle. I was on this website reading up on getting pregnant succesfully withouth using medicines or going through procedures. Apparently it's about herbal remedies and chinese things.
The book is around £26 to purchase. It kinda gives information and it doesnt, it's bit weird really. I'm a bit sceptical at the moment and would welcome some feedback on this book.
There is alot of feedback from women of all ages ranging from 20's to late 40's who have tried this and swear by it. The author, who is also a doctor had problems in conceiving herself and did a lot of research over ex amount of years and at the age of 43 went on to have 2 health children using her methods in the book (which I hasten to add, we don't know, as you have to purchase the book to know and find out more)..

I look forward to hearing from anyone who has hear of this book.

Thanks :)
