but... can having regular braxton hicks mean that labour could be near?

ive been having random BH's all week, but today ive had loads.. and for a while now ive been having them every 15 / 20 mins.. i havent had them this frequently or regularly before... im sure they are BH not real contractions coz even though my whole bump is going rock solid, theres no pain at all.. just discomfort.

also i keep getting lots of pressure in my bum and the feeling that i need to go to the loo, i get there and theres nothing that needs doing.. iykwim?!

could it mean that labour could be round the corner? im trying not to get too excited though....

ive been having them constantly and nothing is happening... i hope it means something... but saying that ive been getting twinges in my lower back since 37 weeks and nothing x

I hope not! I've been having loads the past few days, but Pip is nowhere near ready yet...(and neither am I!!). I hope it happens soon for you hun x

I have had them for weeks and nothing yet, but ive got a lot longer till my due date than you! I think some people are just more prone to them.
The last time i was on fetal monitoring a few days ago i was having them every 5 mins and they were going up to 110 which was hurting my back and tummy but they had no explanation after checking everything else and said it could mean labour is slowly on its way but could also mean i have a very irritable uterus and will still be sat here in a months time with the same thing happening! Greeeeeeat! Hehe.

thanks ladies, i think im just noticing them more as i havent had any BH's throughout the whole of my pregnancy till these last couple of weeks. Well due today so we'll see how long he takes
