Trying to Conceive with Crohn's Disease and an Ostomy

Hi.

This is my first post here.

My husband and I have been TTC for about 6 months now, with no luck.

I have been getting so upset because we really want a baby. It's so hard especially when everyone around you is pregnant.

Anyways, I have Crohn's disease. I've had it since 10 years old. When I was 20 I had major surgery to remove my entire colon. Since then, I've had about 5 major abdominal surgeries, which have resulted to me having an ileostomy.

I can't help but think this is why we are not being successful. I'm wondering if I just have too much scar tissue in my abdomen.

I am 31 years old, so we would ideally like to have a baby asap.

My questions are, has anyone successfully conceived with having Crohn's and/or an ileostomy? If so, did it take your a while? If not have you gotten help?

Any and all advice would be so helpful!

Hi, just wondering if you managed to conceive? From what you've put we're in the same boat! Also had around 6 surgeries and an ostomy. X
