Another thread from me being indecisive :haha: I was going to get sylvanian familys but decided that might be better left for next year. LO loves her dolls so just trying to decide between some and wondered if anyone had them and what they are like
1. https://www.smythstoys.com/other-fa...essionID=a4898f6c-146d-4a95-a8f0-28c55e08826d I thought it looked nice and good size but wondering what size dolls and how well made
2.https://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/3839302.htm thought this looked cute and reasonable price
3. https://www.smythstoys.com/other-fa...essionID=4790c140-158a-441e-989e-d047cf1be0b3 thought this was cute and she could have her Disney dolls and lottie doll in there but would cut down on other presents due to quite expensive
4. https://www.mothercare.com/Rosebud-Dolls'-House/130143,default,pd.html#q=rosebud I think this looks nice and have a 20% voucher left from los birthday but seems quite expensive with all the accessories
and last was the one from asda. Has anyone got any experience. At the moment she has a plastic fisherprice one we picked up from car boot which is one of the ones from 90's that folds down. It is starting to look a bit tatty as I did pick it up second hand. I would love her to have a lovely dolls house as she loves pretend play and especially her dolls. Which would you pick for a 2 year old that will last them a few years

I love number 3, it is expensive though it will probably last her for years.

I'd go for one of the bottom 2, depending in budget x

I like number 4. I think it will last a good few years and isn't as big or expensive as number 3.

I loved the first one from smyths but it doesn't seem to be available any more :(

thanks for opinions, they are all in budget but mean less of other things if more expensive. I will have a look in the shops and see how she reacts. I really like number 3 and 4, may have to convince hubby lol, Im sure if I knock other stuff off list he will be happy with more expensive .I like the Rosebud stuff but am wondering if would be just as expensive once you add on furniture

Im hoping they have the smyths ones in as going to store opening in Colchester saterday

I just looked on asda and they don't seem to have the dolls house they were selling last year they seem to have a new one but its priced at £70

thanks, with asda I was hoping they drop price like last year, I didn't realise it was a different one

I *almost* bought the Argos one the other day! SOO glad i didnt as it was full price!! lol. Anyway i read the reviews and it said it was flimsy? So i splashed out and got the rosebud one from ELC/Mothercare with a 20% birthday voucher and it looks gorgeous! x

I thinks it is defenetly between rosebud one and smyths one, choices choices how I hate them

We have the rosebud house it's pretty expensive when u add on all the sets for the inside we've spent a fortune she loves it though, she don't play with it as much as she did but my 10 yr old and my 6 yr old play with it we also have a few other sets and they make a whole village lol x

I'd suggest no3

We have a le toy van house, a bit like the elc one, its hugely expensive with all the accessories and now it's too small really. No3 will work with barbies in the future too.

Also whatever you go for get one without doors, they just get in the way while playing I like the ones like no1 and no3 where the sides are open too, much easier for LO to get something at the back of a room without knocking everything over at the front

https://www.smythstoys.com/other-fa...essionID=bc080170-594a-454d-9738-5a528f55cb72 what do people think of this one? it fits the bigger dolls and is cheaper than number 4 but similar design

this is similar to https://corbandirect.co.uk/KidKraft...currency=GBP&gclid=CI2e9POO-7kCFWOWtAodsxAA8A

or this one https://www.jellyduck.co.uk/my-dream-mansion?gclid=CNK5reKP-7kCFebJtAodIR8AwA

If you like tje rosebud one then def consider the asda one (when they reduce it as they usually do)- having seen them both recently at different friends house he asda one seemed much nicer IMO.

There is also these ones which are both furnished so there would be no additional expense:

Or if you prefer the larger style house then this one at elc went half price last year and there was also a discount code that be used as well. They might reduce it this year as well:

We have the normal rosebud but it's hardly used since we got her the ELC mansion.
Every year it goes 1/2 price before christmas, think I managed to use a code too making it £64.
All the children that come to play love it, it has been home to sylvanians, lalaloopsy dolls, polly pocket, barbies. As they can stand at it to play it makes it easier, also the small wooden dolls are a pain to make them sit / stand.
So if you have the space get the huge one, makes an impressive gift for a little girl on chritsmas morning. x
