Trying to work out my dates!any help?

Ok so I my LMP began on the 1st of August.

We had sex on the 6th and then not again till the 20th.
I got my BFP on the 31st (Digi 1-2) and have done a few tests since all getting darker

We wernt actively trying just not not trying if you get me!! So I wasnt checking ovulation or anything in fact I have no idea when I usually ovulate.
My cycle is normally around 30 days. Do you think its more likely I concieved from the earlier date or the later one? According to ovulation calculators online both dates are out!!

I know it doesnt really matter but any thoughts?

How long is your cycle normally? sperm can live inside you for 5 days so perhaps the ealier one?

If you cycle is normally 30 days then I'd say it's more likely that you just caught the eggy on the 20th rather than the 6th. I mean it could have been the 6th but if you think on a 28 day cycle normal OV is day 14 then the sperm would have had to stay alive for over 6 days (which is possilbe but not as likely) I don't think anyway. I'm no expert though lol.

I have 30-33 day cycles and I OV from anything between day 16-20

Sorry didnt read post correctly

Its hard to say until a scan, but going by a due date calcualtor online i would say 5 weeks pregnant today.....and EDD 8th may....your best just going by that or what youve got until scan hun x

I'm new to all this too, but I do know that sperm can survive up to 4/5 days inside you, so maybe try putting the 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th into an on-line calculator and see if that makes the dates look any better?

it would be the second one, if lmp period started omn 1st aug, it would be highly unusual for you to ovulate within 5 days, the average is around 14 days, so i would deffo say the later one. But saying that sperm can live upto 72hrs. Some say 5 days but i have read on numerous web sites the more likely figure is 3. As The spermm needs the right environment to live in, and if not ovulating, wont last 5 days in the non ovulating envirnment.

I would go for the second date, that would have made you 11dpo when you got your bfp which is pretty reasonable! but tbh doctors won't really care when you ovulated they'll just go by the date of your lmp which would make you 5+1 today! happy and healthy 9months x

Thanks guys! I thought the later date was more likely too!
So exciting - have first doctors appointment this afternoon so shall see what he says!
