Hello Ladies!
I have been off the "actively" TTC band wagon for a bit. I don't think I fell of completely for sure. But I was getting so frustrated with monitoring myself I needed a break. But I decided come 2015, come hell or high water I have to put my big girl panties back on and get focused, because it's obviously not going to happen on its own, oh and I am not getting any younger. I am learning to accept that. So anyways. I was looking to re-introduce myself into the threads and get some feedback.
I saw the RE today and being that I am on CD 2 he said lets start this cycle! Which is so what I wanted him to say. I last saw him 12/2013, I got a complete good bill of health but my DH was suppose to make an appointment to see a urologist to see why we having low morph after two SA, well DH has not seen a specialist, and to tell you the truth he has white coat syndrome, I think if he cut his finger off he would try to sew it back on myself. Which I don't understand, what so ever. My RE said we could proceed with IUI at that time. But we decided to continue trying. Well a whole year went by, and no bun in this oven.

So here I am today. We are moving forward. Today is CD 2 and I start Femara 5mg tomorrow night, CD 3-7. Monday, CD 6, RE is having me go in for an Office Hysteroscopy, then CD12 will be my Ultrasound check, then hCG shot when instructed then IUI to follow.

So I am excited and emotional to finally get this ball rolling somewhere! I have been on Clomid before and was a complete HOT mess, so I was actually glad to try something different. I know nothing about this medication yet. But I know I will be scouring the web reading about it tonight.

So this is where I am, Anyone looking for buddies? Could give me advice? Or share there good or bad stories I would be so very appreciated!! I live in Florida and my insurance doesn't cover these procedures. I got the medication today at my local CVS, which I am sure was a mistake, but being that I need to start tomorrow. I just paid the $254 and will check around for lower prices. I work for a medical office, so I am hoping one of the pharmacies can give me a discount, or better price. Who knows!

oh and RE said we would do 3-6 cycles IUI then he would recommend IVF!

I am ready and willing and will somehow figure it out.

Hi Jai Me,
I'm usually over in the long term ttc area but thought I'd have a look in this section and reading through we are so similar. I've been trying just over 3 years now and all results are clear except hubby has low morph as well ~ 2%.

We are trying our first IUI this month after failed natural clomid cycles. Only difference is I'm taking Clomid this cycle for my IUI. Even though I get hot flushes and cranky mood swings.

We started trying 2011/2012 gave up "trying" 2013 and then started really trying again 2014 when nothing happened we saw a Dr toward then end of last year. Its all so overwhelming isn't it. We are going to have 4 goes of IUI then move over to IVF. I hope we dont have to do IVF though.

Anyway just wanted to pop in and say Hi and good luck for your first IUI.

Hi Jai Me!
I recently started my first round of Femara and Ovidrel, but we are not doing IUI yet. I had tried Clomid twice before, (without a BFP) and was excited to try something new. I had terrible side effects on clomid, I dreaded taking it. However, Femara has been no problem for me. No crazy mood swings, hot flashes or headaches! On CD12 I went to RE for a US, they said I had one follie that was still maturing. Was kind of bummed about this, would have loved to see more follies that were ready for ovulation. So I'm going in tomorrow, CD15 for another US and estradiol level to see if I'm ready to proceed with the Ovidrel injection.

From all the reading I've done, It seems like Femara is the more gentle approach compared to clomid. It doesn't seem like one works better than the other, it's just different for each person. I hope your first round goes well! I'm interested to hear how many follies you produce on it and what your estradiol level is! Best of luck!

Hello Ladies! Sorry I've been away. So busy these days. So I was suppose to start IUI this cycle but went for my Hysteroscopy last Monday, CD 6, and they were unable to do because of a previous Leep procedure where they took too much of my cervix. That's another story. Anyhow. Due to this they cannot/are not able to insert a catheter into my cervix because the opening is so tightly closed from scar tissue. So this cycle has been changed to TI. So I had my U/S this morning, I had 1 mature follicle on the left side and was instructed to give trigger tonight between 8-10pm. So now I'm trying to figure out our BD schedule.
Femara has been much better than clomid. I was a hot mess on clomid. I was a little emotional for a few days on Femara, but that's it. How are you ladies? I am hoping to get a BFP, this cycle with the meds and TI. But if not I have to go in CD 2 so RE can check me while on menses. He may have to take me in the OR to do a dilation process when I'll be dilated and he'll insert a catheter, that will stay in place for two weeks. This may HAVE to be done in order to proceed with IUI because of the shape of my poor cervix. I'm trying to stay positive, this was definitely a few steps backwards, but I got to keep on moving!
:)
