TTC #2 with FET while still breastfeeding?

Hello mamas! Does anyone have any experience with TTC with FET while still breastfeeding? My miracle baby boy was conceived from our third IVF attempt and it was a FET. He is currently 13 months and our breastfeeding relationship is still going strong with no signs of stopping. I don't wish to wean him before he is ready but as time is an issue, I am 37 and hubby is 40, we would like to start trying for baby number two.

My period has not yet returned and baby boy still nurses at night. My RE has ok'ed it and so has my OBGY since we are doing an FET with just estrace and progesterone, no stims, but I am nervous to use our precious frozen embies if there's a chance they will be wasted!

Help!!

I don't know the answer to this, but didn't want to ignore. If your RE has given you the OK, then I'm sure it is fine. How many frosties do you have?

I know that I did need to completely wean my son before our fresh cycle due to the medications, but he was 21 months by then and we were both pretty much ready. My period surprisingly returned only 7 months postpartum. I'm doing a natural FET this month (with only a trigger and progesterone), so I'd love to follow along with your cycle. Thanks so much for responding s08! We have 5 frosties and we will implant one this time around. My FET is schedule for next Thursday and I'm a little nervous but excited! My boy is still nursing and so far the meds have not affected my supply. Fingers crossed that remains true! I'm not on any stims this time just estrogen pills and now the progesterone in oil injections.

Send me good vibes and sticky dust!! it would be so wonderful to get pregnant with a sticky bean the first FET this time!!

Well I hope I have good news to report in 9 days because we had my transfer today!
So far, none of the meds have affected my milk supply that I've noticed and little one is still nursing as much as he was and seems happy.

Hi there! I haven't started testing yet. I've had bad experiences testing in the past with chemicals and miscarriages so I think I'm going to wait until my blood test results on Friday. I'm too chicken!!

I will definitely update as soon as I know though! I feel like I'm pregnant right now but I'm trying not to think about it too much. The progesterone and estrogen can trick you into feeling pregnant so we will see...

Hi ladies! Just wanted to pop in and update. I broke down and tested today and the second line came up right away! I know I'm not out of the woods yet and I have my beta test tomorrow so we'll wait and see. But it's a good start!!

I had my beta on Friday at 8dp5dt and it was 127. I'ma little nervous though because with my FET where we got our son, my first beta was 375 at 9dp5dt!! We put two embies in that time though and we think they both took and lost one early. This time we only put one embie back. I have my second beta test on Monday so send me tons of sticky

I'm a bit nervous!!

SUCH great news and that is a great number! If you put two back last time that very well could have happened, but 127 at 8dpt is fabulous! CONGRATULATIONS!!!

That's what we thought but we weren't quite ready at 6 months, lol! Good luck to you though and update on your FET!!

AFM, I got my second beta results and they went up nicely to 623. We didn't do anymore betas so my first scan will Monday, the 14th. I got a little nervous in the meantime so I took two more HPT's just to reassure myself and the results freaked me out so much more but I found out they were actually really good! My positive lines were so much darker than the control that you can barely see the control line! The reps for First Response said that when your hcg is so high it pulls the dye from the control line. Lol! I was so worried! I've never had a test look like that and at barely 5 weeks too! Here's the comparison of the first HPT I took before my first beta, and the second two are from a week later.

My RE wont let me do a FET unless I stop nursing my son... My baby is 3.5 months old and I just got my period back... I wanted to do an FET in January but dont want to wean my son until he's ready do do it himself... Does anyone know why some doctors are against doing an FET while the mom still nurses?
