Hi ladies after having 2 little munchkins trying for baby#3 has proved harder than we thought. After 16months of trying the GP has referred me for some blood tests, which have shown that I have high testosterone levels, the GP has told me this is indication of PCOS along with my other symptoms...weight gain...excruciating AF......excess hair.

So I had another blood test to check my LH and FSH also have a ultrasound booked for this week.

I'm not really sure what my next steps are I'm feeling pretty alone through all of this hubby isn't the most understanding.

Hiya, just wondered how you are getting on? Have you had your ultrasound?

I've had the 2 blood tests and back at the docs on Friday to see if they showed anything!

Hi Hun,

I had my ultrasound which showed cysts on both ovaries, left one was worst than the right, with the ultrasound and the high testosterone in my blood tests they've given me the diagnosis of PCOS and since then they've told me they can't given me a referral to a specialist as we have two children together already.

Our only other option it private(can't afford) or the herbal route, so this cycle were trying soy (meant to be a natural clomid) and macca root.

How long have you been ttc?

Hey there I was diagnosed with pcos in 2010. Ttc for 12+ months lb born in 2012. Ntnp for baby #2 first cycle. Do you have any other pcos symptoms
Pcos makes it difficult to track cycle, ovulation, new cycle. Temp is out as pcos sufferers have higher temp fluctuating through out cycle. But all that bring said it's not impossible. Even if u only ovulate once and that egg is healthy it could happen. Fingers crossed for you

I'm sorry about the pcos diagnosis, it's rubbish that the nhs won't help if you already have children, but I can kind of understand it from a money saving point of view.

Hope the soy works, keep us updated how you get on :flower:

We have been TTC #2 since July 2013 so 16 months although my cycles seem to be getting longer so currently on cycle 14.

Have you tried vitex Hun? I had really wacky cycles but that seemed to help shorten my cycles down to 31/32day cycles.

Only thing I've noticed since taking the soy and macca is more ewcm! So hopefully this will help, im trying not to obsess but knowing I have issues makes me obsess even more

Mummy2_1--

I have quite a few symptoms of PCOS, I've struggled with my weight for aslong as I can remember, I have excess hair, strange cycles. Bad skin.

I've been charting all along luckily my charts seem ok and fortunately I do seem to ovulate on my own. But I'm currently trying to lose weight to help with this.

no not tried vitex, might be worth looking into then, where is the best place to buy it from?

Vitex helped me regulate my cycles, I bought it from amazon it can also be called agnus castus, this is my first cycle trying soy ISO and it's doing something a bit like ov pain but opks are testing negative so it's a wait and see thing

Good luck!
My blood tests came back normal so just got the SA to do.
I asked what the next steps are and she said it would be the private route. So will wait and see what the SA results are I suppose.

That's good Hun, fx'd for hubby's SA. Won't you get help from the nhs?

Thanks, no as we've already got Thomas she said anything further would have to be private. I would have thought there would be more tests they could do though, as i'm sure it's me as my cycles have been getting longer. I was actually a bit disappointed when she said my results were normal, if that doesn't sound wierd!

I know what you mean Hun, I have to admit I tried soy ISO this cycle and I Ovd on day 12 instead of 17-22! And even better knees I got my bfp this morning at 10dpo so maybe it could be worth giving it ago Hun, this cycle was the first time I used it! Please don't give up hope!

oh wow, massive congratulations! :happydance:

I ovulated cd16 this month whereas past 3 have been 24, 28 & 25
I think it was the clearblue trial that messed me up! :haha: as not done anything else different

Thanks Hun was so suprised my temps are all over the place this cycle compared to other that looked promising but turned out bfn.
I did the trial too drove me up the wall! Think it added extra stress to the whole ttc!
