TTC after depo

me and my partner have been TTC for 6 months now but prior to this i was on depo (pill injection) i had my last injection jan 3rd but still no joy. not only are we having no joy in getting pregnant but also my periods have been up the wall since april (every 14-17 days) and evey OPK i have pee'd on says i am not ovulating but i went for an internal ultrasound and was told that i was ovulating so i am now really really really confused and frustrated (not to mention upset) has anyone else had problems since coming off depo or can anyone tell me some good news stories after depo to help me regain a little hope

I'm going to be totally honest with you here.

I was on the DEPO for 2+ years, I came off LAST september, and my periods are psycho. Painful, long and heavy.
I has been TTC since September with a BFP this August which I sadly m/c'd.
Don't worry, it will happen.

Hun I'm sorry to tell u but depo is pure evil.I was on it for 9 years.came off it in feb 08 got mo af at all until feb 09 but they didn't regulate until august 09.there are a few success stories on here so don't worry to much,it will happen,it just takes a little longer xx

since april i have had periods every 2 weeks last 4 days each but this month i have gone 24 days but i have now having the heaviest most painful period EVER!!!! and due to my internal ultra sound i know i ovulated on day 13 i am just sooooooo frustrated i think it is so irresonsible that when the doctor suggested depo to me at NO POINT did they mention the side effects coming off it to try for a baby aaarrrggghhh

I know it's a nightmare Hun,it needs to come with a warning.by the sounds of things maybe this is ur first month o'in.I've heard that if uve o'd it's a heavier more painful period and if u don't o it's quite short and light.I've had a couple in the last couple of months actually that I'm now questioning xx

My cycles and ovuation returned pretty quickly after stopping the depo but it still took 4 years for me to get pregnant. It should come with a health warning on it!!

I got my last injection june 2007, periods returned june 08. Was on the mini pill in between till may 2008 to be on safe side as i was getting married july 2008. We have now been TTC since then with no joy. Only since i have come of the depo have i heard the evil side of it, it should come with warnings!!

I agree. I am also fresh off of depo. Last injection was in January of this year. Think I began ovulating 2 months ago. Finally got a regular period at the beginning of last month. I am now like 3 days late and nothing yet. We shall see though. Best of luck.

My last injection was oct 08, no af until july 09, the took til jan 10 to regulate. Finally got my BFP on 29th june. And by the looks of it, this makes me one of the luckier ones.

Having your AF back is a good sign though, they will settle down with time (i know thats not what you want to hear) and hopefully then yoou will get your BFP.

I came off the depo B/C Dec 2008 (when it ran out), By the end of Jan 2008 I had my first period but that lasted about 7 months of constant everyday bleeding!!! was a nightmare, I had to eventually go to the hospital and they ran some tests in the end i Was put on Hormone Replacement Therapy for 3 months in June to Aug by the end of August the bleeding stopped and i started getting normal 25-28 day cycles back...

I think the first time I ovulated though was in Dec 09, which i got preg but MC.. since then I have has normal cycles and O every cycle... NOTHING though so far ...
