Ttc after loss due to subchorionic hemmorage

My cycles are normally about 33 days. I ov around cd 19 (which I did this month) and a 14 day luetal phase. It was just very short last cycle but I think I've had a major hormone imbalance due to my mc as I had a lot of mid cycle spotting last month and haven't had any thins month.

How are you doing? Any symptoms today?

I've been crampy and gassy today but I've just gone back on slimming world and eating epic amounts of fruit and veg which could be causing it!!

Hahahaha!! That's so funny! Miserable at the time, I'm sure, but so funny now! Comfy indeed, mama! I spent my last few weeks trying to keep Leopold in... He was 23" at birth, so I imagine he was desperate to get out from being so squished. He was the oddest newborn - instead of curling up in a little ball like they normally do, he was sprawled out whenever he could be, lol! Boy likes his space!! :haha:

Hi ladies!!! I'm still holding off poas untilsunday ahhhhh so long from now!!!

Krulci.. I'm so glad you finally have a diagnosis as to what you had! Sch's are very common and most deliver to term I found out that it depends on a lot of factors like when u start bleeding( earlier is worse), how much and how often you bleed and if it's bright red a lot which is a fresh bleed and I had fresh bleeds once a week... Still always told pelvic rest... I call bill shit lol!! I have heard so many women say they were told bed rest especially after fresh bleeds until bleeding stops for 2 weeks... I saw a specialist after miscarrying and he was a waste of money honestly I think they read the previous drs notes and don't want to disagree or go against what the original dr said but he goes well you could put yourself on bedrest?!? I was like well if it doesn't do harm y wouldn't I lol drs annoy the living hell out of me after this!!

Other things I've researched is acupuncture with a acupuncturist who specializes in fertility! I have my first treatment friday(to help with building me up to concieve again). I don't have a problem concieving this is more to help with stress because boy do I stress!!!!! Also, I'll find out at my appt. what herbs I can use to build up my uterine lining... I'll let u know those after my appt:). Also, standing for long periods of time puts pressure on cervix which irritates sch... I was never informed of this and I'm a vet tech I stand 9.5 hrs a day!!!

I was however told by 2 obs and that specialist that these are fluke occurances and each one of them said they have not seen a patient return with one in a second pregnancy ... So that gives me hope:). And you too!!:). If you look on these sites you'll see a lot of women say they have more than one, but that's most likely because the ones that don't don't come back to the sites lol! Also, if it were to happen again that we got a sch it does not mean it will end the same way especially after all the knowledge we have now!!

Oh and baby center has a couple great groups I'm on ... Sch loss group and a sch support group which is a very busy group :)

Oh man... I'm so glad I found this thread! You are such a wealth of knowledge!! I'm so relieved to hear that this isn't a recurrent thing. I thought for sure that because I had started dilating so early on with Leopold (DS) and had other wonky symptoms at the end that maybe this was just an early exaggeration of what had happened before... Now that I'm typing this out, it makes no sense! Haha! :dohh: Anyways, all of my bleeds were very, very minimal - only a few drops when I wiped, nothing else - and always dark, so I suppose that's why no one was overly concerned (except for myself!!). What hurts the most is that I knew I needed to be on bedrest. When DH was home and kind of took over the house, I'd lay in bed and the bleeding would immediately stop for the next 24-48 hours. I think that's been the hardest part of all, especially as I was losing the baby, was thinking that I knew what I had to do and I didn't do it. Ugh... Sorry to be such a downer, haha!

On to (hopefully) good news! I POAS, today (I'm addicted! Lol), and it was negative though I thought I saw something... so I peed on a FRER and saw just the faintest hint of a second line!!!! :happydance: I'm trying so hard not to get my hopes up but... of course that's not happening! I'm gushing!! Just hoping I wasn't seeing things!:haha:

Hi! I had a subchorionic haematoma with my youngest son (actually it was a variant of this called a sub amniotic haematoma) it was quite small and reabsorbed by 24 weeks. I was not put on bed rest (maybe because it was smallish - although it had stretched to be long and thin by 20 week scan) and apart from a bit of bleeding at 8 weeks , I did not have any more bleeding. I was just given a couple extra scans to check on baby's growth. There is a thread somewhere on here for subchorionic haematoma and it helped me a lot through the worries (although there are obviously both happy and sad outcomes on there ). It is highly unlikely that you will have another subchorionic haematoma as it just a chance thing to get one. I think it is something to do with when the embryo attaches to womb lining. However, even if it does happen again (very unlikely), it does not necessarily mean a bad outcome.

Good luck with getting your BFPs this weekend girls.

Ooh kruici!! Have you retested today?! Good luck, sounds like this is your bfp! Congrats!!

No such luck for me. Af arrived today, 4 days early. So not only did I not get pregnant despite perfectly timed bding but my hormone are clearly still crazy with only a 10 day lp. Feeling so gutted.

I'm so grateful for the internet. How lonely life would be without BnB! :winkwink:

Do you have a link to those threads? I'm going to try to search for them now, but I have a terrible time trying to navigate forums. And thank you for sharing your experience!! I've retold it to DH at least 100 times, now, I'm so relieved, haha!

I retested and got my :bfp:!! Yayyyyy!!! :happydance: Thank you so much for asking! I'm sorry about your weird LP... :hugs: If it helps, mine were doing that on my last few cycles too, which is why I was convinced we'd be a few more months before having any luck. Next cycle, next cycle... You've got this... Things will suddenly and perfectly align!

Pinkerton - how are you doing? Any news on your front?

And sorry everyone it's taken me forever to respond... You were so sweet to ask, Mrs. W. I've been a total, nauseous zombie. It's insane how quickly the hormones kicked in this time! I swear they were never this extreme before!! Ugh... I'll try to check in more often, though. At least for all of your updates, even if I don't have strength to respond, lol.

Congratulations kruici!! Amazing news!!! I'm so pleased for you Hun. Sorry you are feeling so rough but at least tags hopefully good news that this is a sticky bean!!! Keep us posted on now you are doing wont you xx

Thanks also, it's good to know your cycles were still a bit whacky before your bfp. Mine have been getting better each month so I'm hoping this cycle will be the one but who knows! Fingers crossed and ill keep you posted. Thanks for the support xx

Hi girls, I just wanted to give you some hope!! I lost my sweet 'Rocky' at 13 weeks due to subchorionic hematoma and was absolutely devastated... especially since we had paid $16000 for ivf :(. Anyway, low and behold 3 months later I got pregnant again with twins!! I am always knocking on wood and I was especially nervous until I passed the 13 week mark but the babies are doing well and I'm 24 weeks tomorrow.

Now here's the thing: I had bleeding with this pregnancy at 10 weeks and was again diagnosed with a hematoma ( can you freaking believe it??!!) :(. The difference is this time I went on strict bed rest (I didn't last home as my doc said there's no evidence it works). I drank more water than was humanly possible and haven't bled in months. So to address your original questions: YES you can get pregnant easily again but YES you may be more prone to hematoma. I personally have read articles that link hematoma to orgasm.. So when you do get pregnant again I would lay off sex for a couple of weeks after implantation (just to be safe) :).

Good luck to you on your rainbow babies!!

Thank you for sharing your story! Congratulations on the twins!! That's such amazing news! I can only imagine your reaction. :happydance:

"I personally have read articles that link hematoma to orgasm" - this totally guts me. Not only because I love sex (), but because DH and I snuck the tiniest fooling around in the day before the MC. It's been a question ever since; did that push us over the edge?? At least we know now - thanks to you! We haven't so much as looked at each other since 6 DPO (lol!) for fear of ruining things, and I suppose this will be our motivation to hold strong. How long did you wait with this pregnancy? And how long did you go on bedrest for? Did you go off of it in stages? At the first sign of spotting, I plan on doing the same. I'm so scared!!

Well I'm no expert but experience can sometimes be the best teacher-especially when most drs don't seem to have the answers when it comes to hematoma....it's just one of those elusive pregnancy complications :( but I went on bed rest at 11 weeks and my Dr said to stay on it until I've experienced 2 weeks without spotting or bleeding. That was 12 weeks ago and although my last incident was just before 16 weeks my doc has assigned me to permanent rest due to other variables:twins, previous miscarriage, etc,.

As for sex-lol...... we haven't had any since 10 weeks!!! I'm just too afraid. Needless to say we've been creative for the sake of hubby :)
