Hi everyone, this is my first thread :)

I know everyone is different but is there anyone on here that took Cerazette before conceiving?

I was on it almost three years and I came off it in February which isss...6 months ago now. Should I be expecting anything soon or will it take longer for all the Cerazette to leave my body?

    Thanks!

    Hiya,
It is really different for everyone - I fell pg on cerazette!!! Have you used OPKs to check you are ovulating? Are your cycles regular? x

Hi there... this is also my first thread!

I took Cerazette for about 3 years. I came off the pill in August 2008 as my husband and I decided we would like to start a family. I started getting concerned that everything was not right when I had not had a period after 3 months. I saw my doctor, who told me not to worry as it sometimes takes time for the body to get back into its cycle. I still had no periods after 6 months, so saw my doctor again and after a series of tests was referred to the fertility clinic at my local hospital. Although I still have had no periods, I wanted to put a post somewhere for those women who, like me, have become worried about TTC after taking Cerazette and are blaming this pill for any problems they are experiencing.

The fertility specialist has told me that there is a "signalling problem" in my body, which means that my eggs are not ripening each month. The important point to note is this: this has probably been a problem for a very long time, but as I have been taking birth control pills for 14 years, the symptoms have been masked until now. There is a natural temptation to blame Cerazette, or any other birth control pill, if you experience problems when TTC. Sadly, 1 in 6 women experience some kind of problem and it is usually something to do with them rather than the pills they have been taking!

The good news is I have now been given a drug which will stimulate my body into ripening an egg follicule each month, so fingers crossed... at least now I should have as much of a chance as all the other couples TTC out there.

Good luck with sorting out your ovulation problems... you could always see your GP for advice since it has been 6 months now after coming off the pill.

Anyone else got a Cerazette story? Lol..

I'm not pregnant yet but I'm not worried, I got my period a month after coming off the pill (came off it in Feb) so hopefully my body will be getting back to normal after this period and I'll be more fertile :happydance:

I was on cerazette for 3yrs... but i decided that i would come off every 6 months to give my body a break for a month...

Me and OH decided to start trying in jan and i had my first AF at the end of feb i got sick after that and AF went missing for like 7wks and then i had a much shorter AF in april may and june so i guess it's how your body works it...

I think it's best to use OPKs to see if your ovulating so then you'll learn your cycle length as well!!!

    Good Luck :hugs:

    Hi all

Glad to find you all, I just wanted to say hello!

I am new here and came off Cerazette 4 weeks ago. No sign of AF, but many pregnancy or AF-like symptons. Even did a test last week as symptons were so strong. Got a BFN so I am guessing it is just my body sorting itself out. I have read some worrying news about how long it takes for fertility to return, but it is reassuring to hear news of BFP after coming off the pill! Hopefully the rest of us will have good news sooner rather than later!
