What are your stories? How long have you been ttc?

My hubby and I met in 09 and for the first 4 years we only used the pull out method because condoms gave me UTI and birth control caused chest pain.. I thought we were doing the method right in time to prevent pregnancy. Then we started ttc on May and no luck. We ttc daily, right after my period..Then I'm all excited about being pregnant then the stupid period comes a couple days late..psychologically messes with my brain..I've skipped period for 59 days, kept getting bfn back to back.. that was very difficult... I'm supposed to get my period in 3 days and have sore breast and very constipated and now I'm thinking that I may be pregnant but know that I get this symptoms before period anyway....very doubtful

Hi Roxy! I've been ttc since April 2013, so coming up on 2 years now. I'm 24 and my Dh is 27. I've never had a BFP and yet all of our tests look good. I'm seeing a fertility specialist now so I've been on clomid for 2 cycles. This cycle I ovulated on Day 14 which has never happened before! Normally I have long cycles and ovulate between CD18-25. I'm really hoping to get that BFP without further medical intervention but we'll do whatever it takes!

I hope the best for you and that you get pregnant. Never knew how hard baby making was :(

My husband and I have been together for 10 years, married six on the 27th. (he's 27 and I'm 28). For the first four years I had baby fever, but he kept saying we weren't in the right job/house/location situation. The annoying thing was, he was right. Then, of course, I finally went off the pill to start trying, and... nothing. It turns out I have a very difficult-to-manage form of PCOS. It went undiagnosed for while because I had no other symptoms; the only "medical proof" of it now is the string-of-pearls in my ovaries. Nearly two years later and 17 months into actively TTC--we used condoms for a bit, because I came off the pill to see how my body reacted before TTC--I've only ovulated once. We've done 5 rounds of Clomid, one of injectibles, and 3 of Femara (I finally o'ed on a high dose of Femara). I know it takes some women even longer, but with this scant progress, it's hard not to lose hope. I took a cycle off this month and also have horrible PMS/post-ovulation symptoms, but I think I'm just imagining things and have the pre-holiday blues. That or I've o'ed on my own for the first time ever, missed my fertile window, and will get a period over Christmas :-/.

Roxy, have you seen a specialist at all? I couldn't tell from your story whether you had regular cycles before TTC.

:dust: to you both. I hope we all get our BFPs soon!

No I have not, I'm too afraid to find out why we are struggling but I always had painful periods that were heavy flows..

I truly hope that next year will be the year that all of us Get a bfp

Congratulations SweetPea! Hoping for a healthy sticky bean for you!

Roxy- hopefully you will conceive on your own soon! I also think we all deserve nice strong BFPs in 2015. If you end up going to a specialist though, the good news is it's very, very rare that they will find something that simply can't be treated. Even in my rather strange case doctors are optimistic that they'll get something to work... it's just so emotionally draining that I become Eeyore after a while!

That's exactly how I was. They were fairly regular in that my cycles were usually 29-34 days but my period lasted for almost 10 sometimes including spotting at the end. It was no fun! And when I took OPKs or temped, I found I O'd really late like CD18-23. This round of clomid, my period was completely over by day 7, I o'd on day 14 and got my BFP at 12dpo. Clomid might be a good option for you!

I am still late. My cycle varies befween 28 to 34 days, it has been 28 day cycle for the last 3 months, now I'm in cycle 33 and no period. I just have sore breast and I feel pressure in my lower abdomen. .... OK I will take test on Monday : )

Hey Roxy, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you. Even if the specialist finds something, chances are it will be treatable. :hugs:

I was diagnosed with endometriosis in 2009 after having horrific AF pains, and from my surgery pictures I was probably stage 2. I had hormone treatment for six months after. My obgyn was worried about my fertility after that, but honestly I think that's what helped get me my BFP so soon when I finally was TTC. So there's hope even if something's found!

I really, really hope you get your BFP soon! Good luck on Monday!

Ok so today i had a little brown discharge. . ugh maybe I am about to get my period later... I will update :(

:-( Sorry roxy2013. I also just got a very definite BFN on CD30... I'm highly irregular without meds and don't know when or if I o'ed, but it was a complete buzzkill because from symptoms I could have SWORN I ovulated on or around day 13 with possible implantation bleeding about a week later, and AF hasn't shown up, but obviously not :-/. Hopefully January will bring lots of sticky dust for both of us!

Hello Roxy. I understand how hard it is, I have PCOS and back to back periods constantly. I'm currently waiting for fertility treatment. I hope you get your :bfp: very soon! :dust: x
