Ive had mine clipped. It was very straightforward, I had it done 2 years ago after my husbands vascectomy was found to have failed and really its me that shouldnt have another baby (I had some health issues that were getting worse with each child)
I had it done as a day case, laparoscopic surgery (so through belly button and a tiny incision at the side) I had a week off work to rest. It was really very minor. Not much discomfort.
I have normal regular periods, no weird pain and none of the weird side effects the internet seems to be filled with.
Mine are clamped with circlips which is standard in the UK - cutting the tubes is more invasive I believe.
