Hiya hope you dont mind me popping in from 2nd tri, just wondered if any of you will have 2 under 2 and what your thinking of doing transport wise, as i dont have a clue!!! xx

I will have 2 under 2!

What do you mean transport wise? car seats?
We'll just have two, the baby rear facing one and then the seat that Joshua is in now?!

Or is that not what you mean?

x

as for transport im the same had to have a bigger car and as for a buggy i have just gotten a phil and teds doulbe buggy x x

My LO will be 2.5 when baby boy arrives. Ive bene thinking about when i put them into the car how in the world will i do it. I figure for the first bit while i can carry baby in the carseat ill put my LO in the car first because the car seat can sit on the ground by the door and he wont be able to move. but once he gets to heavy to carry in the carseat I have no idea who will get put in first. ive been really wondering about this. I dont want my 2.5 year old to try and run off in the parking lot while i strap baby boy into the car. And i dont want to try to put 2.5 yr old in car while holding a baby either. any suggestions?

but my daughter will be 2 and a half by the time our baby arrives and im worrying myself about what pushchair to buy do i get a single and a sit down buggy board or do i get a double buggy or will it be a waste... do buggy boards fit all buggys? x im having a dilema lol

I have 3 all 5 and under at the moment il tel ya my car trick lol, I get Layla the eldest to dash in quickly and get sat still, Then with oscar under my arm my youngest i fiddle about and get Finnley my middle son strapped in the finally make sure Oscar is all safe and snuggle in then go round the back and make sure layla has strapped herself in.. Then dash around to check every one has drinks bottles etc to keep them happy then may actually get to drive off after 20 mins of sorting all that out Ha Ha Ha lol. xxxx

I bought this stand and sit stroller made for a baby (with car seat or without) adn it has this seat at the back that my 2.5 yr old can sit or stand on. I just hope it has a belt too. I have not put it together yet because she will want to sit in the front like her old stroller so i was going to wait until baby was here to show her. Ill try to find a link to show you what I mean about the stroller

when i do give birth to this one i will have 6 under 8. 8 yr, 7 yr, 5 yr, 4yr and 1 yr then the new one. when i had my 1st to that were both under 2 i used a norm buggie and got a seat to go to click on the back of the buggie. she sat on it and i put rains round her so she did not fall off. doing this ment i did not have to get a bigger buggy. i will also be doing this this time. we dont drive so car seats i not going to get if we do go in a taxi i just use the ones that i had b4. hope this helps

I'm sure you can learn to drive while pregnant hun, my friend did last year as she was in same situation! This will be our first but my partner already has two girls aged 3 & 7. We usually walk everywhere but it will be so easier driving. Just need to get some pennies saved up! X

jack will be 13months i got the icandy pear

i will have 3 under 3 when this one is born, i will be doing the same with this one as i did with 2nd, you look after the one who needs you. i have the boys in a routine so they are fed together, bathed together, nappies together. i am sure it will be a lot like a conveyor system when this one arrives but routine is key!! i have been exceptionally lucky with my boys that they slept thru night from 8 weeks old and i clean when they sleep then dedicate my day to them when they are awake. i have side by side double buggy. twin city wheels elite, and its so light, and i do not have any probs with doors etc!! i am going to get a buggy board for eldest this time.

you cope much better than you think you can!!!

My son's only just turned 2, so almost the same situation with transport.

We've got a bigger car (changed from a lovely lovely Alfa to a Renault Scenic...OH was soooo pleased ), my 4 year old can climb into her own seat or wait patiently by the car if I'm dealing with the little man. When this bubs arrives I'll probably be leaving the baby in the car seat on the ground while I get Charlie into the car, then will strap baby in once he's secured. When this baby gets too big for the rear-facing car seat I'd hope Charlie will be old enough to either not make a run for it or to clamber into the car with assistance (even if he can't get into his seat) so that I know he's safe while I get the baby in.

For walking, I've got two pushchairs - an oBaby tandem (same principle as phil & teds etc, but they work slightly differently - might be worth a look if you don't like P&T to see if they're any better for you), and I've got an oBaby zezu pramette for when I haven't got the older kids (as they're by my ex-husband and he has them almost 50% of the time), but I've got a buggy board and adaptors from a couple of years ago so that I can use the single pram and sell the tandem when Charlie is old enough to be trusted not to leap off the buggy board and make a bid for freedom.

Something I learned from experience when juggling two very small children (my daughter was 2 and a half when my son was born) - get a rain cover for the carseat in advance; it takes the stress out of the situation if you're having trouble getting the older child into the car in the rain and baby's sat in the car seat!

Hope you find something that works for you - it can be a total headache!

xxx
