I'm going for a blood test soon but they are testing my for hypothyroidism and such. Due to my weight gain. Not testing for pregnancy. But I'm assuming there's no chance I am pregnant, as by now, it would without a doubt be showing as a positive.

My Aunt was twelve weeks when she finally got a positive HPT. You aren't out until AAF shows.

I am also 17 days late and refuse to do a HPT. I am going to the doctors on Wednesday and will get a blood test done then. Also, I have gained a few pounds but that could be down to lack of exercising in my case. Lol.

However, I noticed that you haven't been TTC for too long, have you come of birth control? Pill/implant/injection? Once you come of these you body can take around six months to get back to normal, although some women are lucky enough to fall straight back into old patterns.

I haven't been on any birth control in nearly 5 years. My boyfriend is paralyzed so we thought he could not ejaculate, up until very recently when we discovered a PVS could allow him to.


So needless to say we have never used protection, and have never conceived.

I'd get a quantitive blood test for pregnancy to make sure.. some women don't ever get positive hpts.xx

I'm sorry to hear that he is paralized, but glad that he can indeed ejaculate. Do you chart temps? Or use OPK's to help concieve? I wish you two the best of luck. And, could be late due to not ovulating til later, or that your pregnant I would see doctor to see what is going on.

I did just realize that given my last period start date, if I did ovulate on time, I still would only be 6 weeks pregnant. Is it possible that that wouldn't be showing up on tests?


So the most "weeks" pregnant I would be is 6 weeks. But if I ovulated later, I could be as little as 3 weeks pregnant.

These are big "ifs" though. I'm just assuming my menstrual cycle is going irregular again. (I've had irregular cycles in the past, but they have been regular this year since March) We started trying in June.
